Dualshock 4 is the best controller ever imo.

I still prefer the WiiU Pro controller to the Dualshock 4.

I haven't tried every controller this gen, but this would be my preference right now.

1. WiiU Pro Controller
2. WiiU Gamepad
3. DS4

The main reason is that I don't like the sticks below. That's really uncomfortable for me. As a matter of fact, I think the XOne would be my favourite, assimmetric sticks are the best.

Were we separated at birth or something??

You should add a poll!

Pocky Lover Boy!

DS4 is a huge jump compared to the DS3 and I love it.

The Wii U gamepad isn't very comfortable for me. Haven't played enough XB1 give an honest opinion on it.

I prefer the symmetrical placement of analog sticks on Playstation controllers so I use the DS4 for all my PS4 and PC games I play a controller with.

How is the DS4 for PC?  I have a logitech with asymmetrical sticks but I just don't like it.  My brain likes symmetry much more and it bothers my wrist.

A few games (Shovel Knight) have native support which is really nice, most of them seem to have generic controller support which is functional but the button prompts are generic (Metal Slug, Cave Story, Freedom Planet, etc.) and some games are not functional (Super Meat Boy).

Games with generic support just need some remapping which should not cause any issues but for games that are unsupported like Super Meat Boy, you need to find a program that will map the DS4 to XInput in order to work. Your experience will vary from game to game but once you get it working, it works great.

Wii u gamepad. Loved it more then any controller ever and I have used ds4 ds2 Xbox 360 Wii. Only the zone controller eludes me in the modern era consoles

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

It's no contest that Xbox one controller is far superior in design. Microsoft controller is the controller that should be the minimum standard for controller design and the one to copy and improve on. Microsoft even offer an elite controller for people that really wants the best.

The WiiU pro controller battery is something that every one should copy. I really enjoy the the WiiU pro controller except maybe for the button layout being different from Xbox. It make switching back and forth a unnecessary hassle, I guess they are following the Nintendo standard for layout.

The Dual shock 4 got lots of praise for all the improvement over dual shock 3. Personally, I don't think Sony deserve any praise for simply finally getting around to fixing unacceptable design flaw that plagued the Dual Shock 3. Seem like Sony stuck in the pass with dual shock, having the D-pad on the left over an Analog stick. Sony was late to the party with the PS1 controller when it became clear that they needed Analog sticks. They simply stuck two of them on the bottom of the controller. While that fix the issue they had it was never the best solution, yet somehow Sony has stuck with it on every controller from PS1 to PS4.

The Wii U Pro Controller for me (I'm still pissed that the Switch Pro has the right analog below the buttons, it could've been even better than the Wii U one).

As an owner of all three. Xbox One for me in terms of preference of analog sticks. DS3 to DS4 is a massive gap in quality. Wii U gamepad... yeah... not a fan.

^ Almost the same

In order:

1) Xbox One Elite or S by far

2) Then the Play Station Four controller and while I dislike the layout or the bumpers, the overall quality is good and way better than Play Station Three. And while it is does not feel as good as my Xbox One Elite or S controller, it stills feel like a good controller while holding it.

3)The Pro Controller of the WiiU is okayish and even if the layout is the way I like it the controller does not feel right to me

4)The WiiU Pad is just way to big
