So the 10 mil aren't exactly overshipping, but also aren't gone in two weeks.

You need to remember that Europe numbers are only first week, and there are no WW number. Those two could push an extra 1 million.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well i dont thinl any1 expected all 10mil to go up in 2 weeks. Third week sales WW will be close to a million so its just coming close to 10Mil figure.

@OP change 7.2mil to 7.5mil :o

Still not gone in two weeks.

What to complain about, as I read XY initial shipment was 7mil, SunMoon sold that in less than two weeks. The 10 million aren't overshipping as some assumed. With the holidays before us, SunMoon will be well past 10 mil before the year ends.

Serebii Note: Combined between North America, Europe and Japan, Pokémon Sun & Moon has sold at least 7.2 million serebii.net/index2.shtml

Serebii Note: In less than two weeks, Pokémon Sun & Moon have sold 3.7 million units in North America. serebii.net/index2.shtml

U dont need to be an insider to know it has sold close to 7 million, Nintendo and weekly Japanese sales trackers already announced the numbers

Europe 1.5M

Americas 3.7M

Japan 2M

WOW that's 7.2M!

Looking at sales for OR and AS in December 2014, (First full month after launch)
For a 5 week period from Dec. 6 to Jan. 3 OR/AS did:
- 841,130
- 661,682
- 720,535
- 632, 463
- 300,477

Added together it's 3,156,287
So if Sun/Moon pulls the exact same numbers to add to it's 7.2 million it has now,
it'll be at 10,356,287 million be the end of the year.
That 10 million units shipped is looking very spot on.

Bruh 7.5mil japan is 2.3mil :p

My God, that's insane. I've seen the hype, but I never thought that 7.2 million were going to be sold so quickly, and the Japanese and European numbers probably don't include the digital sales.

Both points of views I speak about were expressed a short time ago as the 10 mil shipment figure became known:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=222718

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8154917

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8154933

The last one reads: "That shipment is probably going to last 2 weeks top."

The other one: "I know it will sell over 10M but this shipment will last a long, long time."

Both are clearly wrong now, but it shows Nintendo calculated that initial shipment about right.

First 2 (full) weeks, we know Japan to be ca. 2.5 million (mediacrate, observers for week 3), Europe should be just under 2 million (adding week 2 and the OVER 1.5 million), US + rest of world should be 4 million, 2 weeks. So, 8.5 million on ten; that's good, really.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.
