Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Phil Spencer Chimes In On Alan Wake 2 Hold Up

Maybe Remedy paid for all the development costs so the burden of risk is on them not MS.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Remedy is busy making another Max Payne or a Remaster of the original.

Well Remedy has came out and said they're making 2 different games with different companies.....not even working with MS on any game...why are people surprised? They're games have struggled on Xbox so far

Preston Scott

If the dev and owner of the IP had no time / interest in creating another game with the IP anytime soon... they could always get cash by licensing the IP to another studio who had a game in the works but could use a somewhat known IP to stick onto it to make the project a success. If remedy had no real long term plans for Alan Wake as a series it could just be free money for them really.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Alan wake 2 and Alan wake remastered pack exclusive to nx. I mean switch. Similar to bayonetta. :)

The Dev has lost interest?

Apparently so. At least we cannot say that Microsoft doesn't give developers the freedom to do what they want.

This is actually pretty funny.

Well they aren't owned by Microsoft I don't think? So I guess that gives them some freedom.

'The Coalition' devs were working on something then told to do Gears (and with the name change) for the foreseeable future.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

That's right. I was thinking Remedy was a part of Microsoft.

“How do I put this? Well, the developer… the developer has to want to make the game.”

lol that's so funny. So straightforward and dry, without any drama or conspiration behind it, they just don't wanna make it lol.

Black Tusk wasn't working on a game, Shangeist was a tech demo.
