*** FZero - Decline

More than decline, It is in a wasteland, a bottomless pit of nothingness thanks to Nintendo. FZero GX is my favorite game of all time, full of content, an insane one player mode, hundreds of solo hours and even more in multi.

*** Metroid - Decline.

*** The Witcher - Apex

Unless CDPR changes their mind, the Witcher franchise is at its climax, but I doubt we'd get another one. Imho TW1=TW3

With that kind of growth (631%) I think we're going to see more of The Witcher. Don't know if you're right, that it has peaked in quality. You liked the 2nd game the most?

My favorite franchise, Metroid, is in decline. on a positive note, the genre my favorite franchise spawned, the Metroidvania, is having quite the renaissance. Thank you indies!

Castlevania and in decline. It hurts :(

Metal Gear Solid and I suppose it's stable.

Mine is Tekken and from 5-6 there was a rise so we will see what 7 brings!!!

Commercially in growth, quality-wise in decline.

Fallout
Dark Souls
Dragon Age

All these series are being dumbed down, more and more being designed with the mass market in mind, gamers who want to be guided through a game and aren't interested in getting intellectual challenge.

In sales it's always been all over the place. Still good though, the first of a gen always sells better than the second.

In quality, this gen hasn't been too kind to it yet, but it can redeem itself.

Favourite would be C&C but today as a franchise it's basically non existent, my second favourite franchise that's still going would be Warcraft, though I see that going on the decline if they don't deliver with legion.
