2015 barely showed 10 seconds of footage during the TPHD reveal in November's ND.

We saw way more during the famous January 2013 ND, with a trailer and all.

I'm expecting this to be somewhere along the lines of CoD and Maybe MGS as far as cut scene cinematics or set pieces. I'm betting that is the western flavor they're talking about.

No joke man. I can see it happening. They already have Link doing flying slow motion leaps off of Epona so he can do rapid fire arrows into his enemies. Its not that far off to go from that to massive bomb explosions while Link is walking towards the camera with shades on.

Despite this western talk, Aonuma has expressed in the past that the Skyrim claims were taken a bit too far. This isn't going to be a Skyrim clone, but there will probably be some influences from western games in certain areas. 

The art style and setting is also quite Japanese, with big comparisons to that one Japanese movie that I forget the name of..so this is probably Aonuma's attempt to bring the best of both worlds overall.

We didn't see anything of Zelda U until E3 2014.
