As expected...

Another great month for PS4/X1, pretty good tracking of the X1 but not the PS4 from VGC. I still expect this year to be down somewhat YOY.

is this really as close as we ve gotten so far ?

PS4 ~230k+
XB1 ~125k+
WiiU ~55k+

Wii U down YoY, so below 48k.

So more like:

PS4 230k or tiny bit more. (the orginal qoute was just over 20% YoY) (20%  YoY = 230k).

XB1  132k or more.

Wii u 47k or less.

I know I'm in the EU but here in our Town it was actually very hard to get a PS4 in the final weeks coming up to Christmas, we had to get one in the start of Jan when the first shippments of 2016 rolled in instead, could have been the case in places in the States too, basically just Holiday sales of the console but happening in Jan due to high demand in Dec not being filled.

PS4 did 189k in January 2015. It has been hinted at that the "impressive YoY performance" Sony stated means the PS4 did at least 20% more than it did in 2015, so at least/over 227k. We also know that the Xbox One and Wii U are below 153k and 48k respectively, and that 2016 PS4+XB1+WIU in terms of unit sales is around the same as in 2015, which is ~402k (189k+150k+63k). Wii U is at least 25% down YoY (<48k) and XB1 did not have its best January this month (so we know it's below 150k as well).
