Forums - Gaming Discussion - What's the quickest you've returned/traded-in a game?

Sometimes you get a game that you don't like/broken/etc. and you end up returning it not too much afterward. What game would that be for you?

For me, the game I returned very soon after was Zelda II: The Adventures of Link on the GBA SP. I was 12 at the time and had only played Link's Awakening and A Link to the Past. So naturally and naively I expected Zelda II to play similarly to those games... I was wrong, as many would have guessed just based off the name of the game. The last thing I had expected was a 2D side-scrolling RPG with (to me at least) an odd world map. I owned the game for about 30 minutes before deciding I hated it and never wanted to play it again XD Now of course, my taste has changed and I like Zelda II now and accept it for what it is.

But anyway, is there any game that you owned that you got rid of soon after buying?

I bought some POS scrub DS game that was on a gamestop counter by accident. Noticed I bought it while I entered my car. Proceeded to march my ass into that store, chucked the thing at the woman and left.

No, but I did get my money back. Probably the fastest I ever returned a game.

Black ops, 2 days.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Probably Bulletstorm. I hated it. I thought it was going to be a shooter, not a kicker. I also put Bayonetta up for trade online on the same day I bought it, though I played it for longer than Bulletstorm.

I rarely ever return games, but I did make an exception and returned Skyrim for the PS3 within a week of owning it.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Literally 2 seconds. Clerk tried to be a wise-guy and switch the case that I brought over with a clearly damaged one.

Ended up getting the game later from Best Buy instead.

EDIT:

Game I bought, played, then returned would be COD Modern Warfare 3. First one for me. Brought it back day one. BLOPS 2 was good though.

Street Fighter x Tekken, after about a month from launch. The state that game launched in was an insult, and has made me far less pre-order happy ever since.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

:D

Funny, I don't think I ever returned a single game in my entire life.

I did return Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, but that was because the game disc always had errors, so I returned it, bought another copy, and bam.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Y'all remember DBZ Ult Tenkiachi or whatever? Yeah fuck that game.

I remember I bought Fallout 3 back in 2011 as my first Fallout game and didn't like it. I don't remember why but I just didn't so I think I returned it after a few days.

I ended up playing Fallout: New Vegas in 2014 though and absolutely loved that game so I imagine if I were to replay Fallout 3 right now i'd probably love it now. Maybe I just didn't get a good impression of it back then.
