I've been waiting for this game for a long time. I even broke my rule of not pre-ordering games before release just to get few a token bonuses. Kojima took his sweet ass time and that might have added fuel to the turmoil between him and Konami. They made him into a folk hero, but we'll see what really happened when they can finally discuss the issue after release. 

I recommend listening to the "Data Files" in Peace Walker while you guys wait for the game. The self contained main story and side missions were cheesy as hell, but the cassette tapes were where the backstory actually is. It'll give you a better understanding of the The Boss's motives (aka Big Boss's mentor) and it'll probably tell you about her vision that Big Boss tried to emulate when he established Outer Heaven.

Some of the cassette tapes in the Data Files are hidden. You can find them all by defeating all the "Metal Gears" and snooping around inside the AI pods. If you can't bother, I'll post the YouTube link in a few minutes. Just remember that it'll make more sense if you've played Peace Walker.

It's long, so I recommend listening to it like a podcast and using some headphones while playing a game that doesn't require a lot of mental power.

What's the problem with Quiet srly? Those people clearly haven't seen Gal Gun Double Peace.

And Quiet is fine. If you've got it show it off, no problems here. People just like to find a reason to complain is all.

Why aren't celebrating how strong The Boss was as a character? I mean, she's arguably the most influential person in the series and at some point the most powerful soldier in the world. She even made her first appearance in MGS3; a game that supposed to pay homage to the James Bond movies, and we all know what always happens in James Bond movies. But I guess that's non of my business.

Oh well, I guess it's not too late to seclude myself in the mountains to avoid contact with the internet and spoilers.

Seriously though, why do they have to ruin the fun for all of us? We never asked for Quiet, it was Kojima who included her in the game for a purpose. Also, it's not like the series is well known for oversexualizing many female characters when it's the opposite.

Because somebody has to be at fault. Someone's to blame, after all. It's unfortunate but what can you do. Best just ignore it and try to enjoy the game! 

Oh man I'm gutted! AmazonUK have been trying to contact me since Friday telling me my card declining so can't dispatch the game. I preordered the game last year with a card which expired, my card details were up to date on current orders but because I ordered that a year ago my old details saved on the order. This all means I won't receive the game till Thursday or Friday now!

Wow man that sucks. Hope you get it soon. Have you considered just cancelling and getting from GAME?
