If they really want people to invest in this a second time, then this better provide a different experience from the first...
And I hope the difference isn't just two characters...
I want Linebeck...
And let me add my name to te list of users who didn't see this coming...

How do u know the main objective is to get people who bought the Wii U version to buy it again? Isn't it more logical that it's to sell the game to the millions of people who own a 3DS but not a Wii U?

Don't be silly, that crossbow is clearly being wielded by Agatha's foot. And that's not even in the Top 100 weird things about her.

Hahaha. Well you got me there.

Mewtwo was free to owners of both versions of Smash Bros early on, but for those who only bought one, it was still available as DLC.

Any reason to think a similar thing won't happen here? Or are you just jumping the gun and assuming that this deal is the only way to obtain those characters in the Wii U version?

Weeellllll, there is the amiibo-exclusive Spinner weapon. That isn't available as regular DLC. I think you could be right, but I also think there will be more than two characters added. I'm expecting an expansion similar in scope to the other expansion packs.

Lol at Agitha and the cross bow. The video was taken down from YouTube, so I couldn't watch it. But if the 3DS could handle Smash Bros, I'd be surprised if it can't handle Hyrule Warriors. The feature that tasked the Wii U the most was the 2 player mode where each person had an entire screen to himself (TV and Gamepad). The 3DS won't need to do that. It should be able to run about 80% of the enemies on-screen that we had on the Wii U. I'm not expecting anything as bad as the Warriors game on PSP.

Hyrule Warriors with its multitide of NPCs is a hell of a lot more demanding than a 2D fighting game that tops out at 4 characters.

3DS doesn't have even close to 80% of the Wii U's CPU power. Corners will have to be brutally cut.

There is not (and should not be) such a rule, so you'll probably have to go AWOL for a week.

Thank you for the answer. I am going to be optimistic, let's say this will be the only Nintendo leak till E3... Like this, I can continue lurking VGC...

$40 for a watered down version of a game that bored me to death? Sounds reasonable.

I wonder if Rol will put 500 hours into this one?

Anyone know how that Samurai Warriors game ran on the 3DS? It would probably indicate how well Hyrule Warriors will run.

I wonder how you, Rol, and I are still posting on this damn website almost 10 years later.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Forget the remastering of one year old games, here comes the demastering of one year old games.

Lol. Definitely true. I'll still double dip for this, though.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

That is the million dollar question.  Isn't it?
