At this point I expect them to wait until E3

Huh, looks like Forza Motorsport 8 for Series X launch then surely? Seems a bit of a tight schedule considering they only started development this year.

I've been thinking and I think they should still do a proper reveal event for Series X/S in February/March, hold a short event and reveal:

- Lockhart (Series S?)

- Price & Release Date for Series X & S.

- Reveal of Forza Motorsport 8.

- Showcase Halo Infinite Gameplay + Beta Announcement.

I mean you said they've been hard at work on overhauling the engine for quite a while, right? When it comes to a racing sim, that's really the core of the game. It's not like you have to spend a lot of time on level/character design, storyboarding, etc. You're just scanning tracks and shit lol. Obviously there's still work to be done, but relatively speaking, once the engine is where u want it to be, compared to other games, there's not all that much you gotta do.

MS should just wait til E3. At most have an inside xbox revealing 1 series X launch game in April.

I quite interested to see when production of the X1X get's discontinued I'd imagine it could of off store shelves by next holiday because if they reveal the Lockhart that beats out the X1X on performance for $299 then it becomes obsolete almost instantly along with most people in the market for the Premium console already have the X and if not will now likely be waiting for the Series X to jump into Xbox.

I can see a place for a $99-$149 S as a Gamepass machine for a few more years but I wonder if the X production could end as soon as mid 2020 with the plan to clear them out by October.

Apparently someone on Era heard that the coalition is working on a survival horror Gears game that could be revealed at E3.

Would prefer a horror game without Gears universe. I like Gears a lot but I don't need only Gears games and would prefer new gaming universes. They need to get new people to Xbox as well and not only fans of the same franchises.

When I already ask for less games in the same gaming universes what do those think who aren't fans of as example Gears?

I agree. MS needs to get away from the image of the Halo, Gears, Forza box. Even if they made a bunch of different experiences within those IP, there would still be a lot of dismissive attitudes as a result of said names.

So according to Game Informer the Initiative will reveal their IP in 2020 (likely at E3). If MS shows Everwild gameplay, Hellblade 2 gameplay and reveals both Initiatives and Playgrounds AAA titles at E3 then it would be one for the ages.

Halo Infinite gameplay is enough for me. Anything more is just icing on the cake.

At least that one is guaranteed this time.
