About 6 years ago I found this website when I was fumbling around the internet looking for something interesting to gobble up. Being a big fan of video games, I was blown away that there existed a website with regular sales updates of both the main consoles and most games out there. As it turned out, the sales discussion was also very active and often quite fun. I got hooked and never looked back*. 

Now there is no hook anymore. VGChartz used to be a site about sales but now it's just another forum (which many might enjoy but for us sales addicts it's not enough). 

Some of you might say: "Hey! We still get sales updates, even though they're not as frequent as before," and that's exactly my point. Almost all year we've been getting very delayed updates and it's getting worse and worse. VGChartz is now two months behind on numbers, despite the site staff saying things would be "getting better soon" many weeks ago.

Please don't think I am shitting on the staff here, because I am not. I appreciate their efforts, but it's time to accept that VGChartz is shadow of its former self right now. We can only hope that things do indeed get better soon, for the good of all the sales addicts out there.

I heard a rumor to what is going on, or why ioi has stopped updating.  Not sure if its true though.

Personal issues? I could understand, but we'd appreciate a word from him and for a big site like this there really needs to be someone to back him up...Can't just rely on one man.

Well I'm not really talking about the forum in general but it seemed quite boring here for the most part whenever I checked what was going on.

I think I'm going to stay no matter what, it has been so long that I can't imagine discussing my games elsewhere. I don't think everyone feels the same way though, and this lack of numbers will take its toll on the site's traffic seeing as how the numbers are the core content of the site and the heart of most discussions in here and has been for many years.
I hope it gets better soon, the community needs it and where I have previously told people to "stop whining" about the lack of numbers; I am now more or less in agreement with them, without the numbers, this site will crumble or simply become like any other forum.

No personal issue.  But his time is being consumed by it. THough i do feel like he has lost interest on VGC, this only furthers his disineterest in my opinion. 

What is the rumor?
