I love Nintendo, but not everything they've done. I am cold on the Gamecube, and am not a huge fan of N64 or Wii U. I love their handhelds, Wii, SNES, and NES.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

What's a Nintendo?  Of course I'm a fan.

Playstation Gamer and will always stay Playstation Gamer!!!
But Wii had a lot good games and 3DS is also interesting. Maybe I will buy a 3DS soon? ^^

What about WiiU ?

Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros, Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X...

You should be interested by some of them, right ? And you can also play all the Wii games, including the two main Zelda, the two Mario Galaxy, Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid Prime 3, etc...

I am sorry but Wii U is one of the biggest failures of Nintendo imo...

Well, on many points you can say the same about the Wii : poor third party support, old hardware, expensive (it's about the same price, I don't think it's expensive), online gaming is shit (disagree on this one, Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon are working well and the online is free).

The last points about target audience and nothing new should not change anything for you.

In my opinion, you should buy a Nintendo console because of the quality of Nintendo games. Not because of the hardware or the third party support.

I use to be a huge hardcore Nintendo fan growing up but kinda mellowed down after N64. But my love for them are slowly (but surely) coming back. Though I cant say I love Nintendo more than Sony (I did at first when it was N64 vs PS1 until the PS1 eventually won me over).

Wii U is Wii 2.0 imo. Everything is the same (and I own already a Wii)...
Look at Sony or Microsoft and how much differences there are between last gen and current gen (better online, task-system, record gameplay...). This is Next-Gen!

Love Nintendo. But they can go to hell until they bring the standard New 3DS to North America XD but yeah I'm mostly a Nintendo/Sony person

I voted yes and want them to sell well, not because I'm a mad fanboy or anything but because quality games deserve good sales.

I became a Nintendo fan in 2006 when they released the Wii, had never bought a Nintendo console before that and since then have bought a 3DS, Wii U and New 3DS. There's two things you can guarantee with a Nintendo console:

1) They're practically indestructable, if Nuclear Armageddon happens the only two things to survive will be cockroaches and Nintendo consoles lol

2) Nintendo games are the most polished games in the industry and ooze quality

I love Nintendo.

Oh, you already own a Wii, then I understand you're not really interested in the WiiU.

I'm in this situation with the PS3 and the PS4. I have the PS3 and I'm not interested by the PS4, because :

- 400 bucks + you have to pay for online gaming = way too much money

- No backward compatibility is a shame, so I have to keep my PS3, what the hell...

- What's really new here, except improved hardware and online ? Why would I care about task-system or recording gameplay ?

- Not many interesting games on it right now... This might change, but that will not be enough for me
