Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS Vita is outselling Wii U - though Wii U is getting more love from it's developer

Wii U
Gets a lot qualitatively games from the developer
Has big marketing
Gets a lot new bundles
Gets love from Nintendo

PS Vita
Doesn't get even half of qualitatively games as Wii U
Has no big marketing
No new bundles since 2013
No love from Sony since 2013

Nintendo is doing everything for Wii U to sell good.
Sony is doing almost nothing for PS Vita and they don't care about PS Vita.
And don't forget that Vita is a handheld and Wii U is a home console, handhelds are dying in the west!

Despite all these things PS Vita > Wii U sales 2015

How is this even possible?
A dead console without love from Sony is outselling a console which is getting a lot games and love from Nintendo.
Imagine that Sony would support PS Vita better and give it more love - Sales would be much much much better than Wii U sales!
Do you think that PS Vita is selling better because it is a beast or do you think that it is selling better because Wii U is just a failure?

So, you finally say that Vita is dead?

Both are failed products that didn't manage to capture enough interest from the gaming community but since games are all that counts I'm gonna agree with you and say the Wii U wins.

Signature goes here!

Its unreal lol. Nintendo really should move on from the Wii U. Hopefully thats what they're doing with the NX.

It is getting no support from Sony, so it is a dead console for Sony.
For us Vita gamers it is a awesome console and is not dead (we are getting Third-Party games and Japanese games).

Hard to call a winner in this particular head on, one is less loser than the other?

Taking in account how vita still sells something even with the lack of sony support, I'd say vita.. But yeah, I can't really call it a winner.

When did I say that? I am just saying that Wii U is getting more love from their developer (Nintendo).

Yeah it's true, despite the sales there really are an awful lot of awesome Wii U games out there. Even if it ends up like the GameCube that's not really the end of the world, because I'll have had fun and that's the most important thing.

The Vita also has a lot of great games but it was always pitched at a niche market; so it shouldn't come as a major surprise. Will continue to enjoy the likes of P4G, WipeOut, Soul Sacrifice and DR if you don't mind though!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I literally have over 10x the games to play on my Vita as compared to my super thirsty Wii U. :/

Vita games evidently reach broader niches.

Wii U.

I do enjoy my Vita but it doesn't provide me with any special experiences outside of old playsation classics and remasters. When we look back on the generation, Wii U will be remembered fondly for its exclusives, this certainly won't be the case for the Vita.

I only hope that the Next Nintendo Handheld surpasses Vita's specs and functionality, because the hardware is still nearly flawless, OS is superfast too.
