Why is it that anytime Kowen is proven wrong he vanishes from the thread without accepting his limitations instead of blaming the data?

Interesting, huh?  Of course, here he just assumes the PS4 and XBO were close in Dec as fact, with no real data.  Then, when VGC adjusts XBO down with the PS4, since it's pretty obvious they are both overtracked, as ioi must be using similar formulas to estimate sales WW, he criticizes the site for just assuming the XBO is overtracked, too.  Sure, PS4 was over tracked by 600K-700K, but XBO is spot on.    Even though we just got confirmation that the PS4 has handily beat the XBO in the UK in Dec, at least enough so to completely wipe out the gain XBO got in Nov.

Anyway, I think this proves the fight for the UK is over.  Sony isn't just handing over UK to MS, and it seems when the consoles are both priced the same, they won't have to.  Same thing is happening in the US, now, since the XBO's price went up.  And this year, Sony will be ready and willing to answer a permenant price cut from MS, so I don't think they will be giving up the US, either.

The PS4 should extend its lead this year and with a better Q1 & Q2 lineup, it shouldn't have that much problem. What I'm curious to see if the gap eventually hits the critical point or what I would call "the point of no return". By then, all Sony has to intensely focus on is the US.

Beside that I'm pretty certain he was in the weekly thread several times calling out people who said the numbers where under/overtracked, and complaining about people attacking the site without reason... and he was overjoyed that I said PS4 would be 1M on the year end, and other people said it was impossible, then came real numbers with ps4 being slightly above 1M on Jan 4th... when I said that proved it wasn't impossible to achieve it he were so happy screaming "4th January" that he didn't see I wasn't saying it was certain it passed (even if statistical error could mean it achieved, or was even farther)... of course he never answered when he saw how wrong he was.

Guys I understand your frustration when certain users are clearly bias when making their comments but just stick to the topic at hand. No need to debate about them

No I dont.  Because thats what all the evidence we had at the time pointed to.

So shoot me.

You and many, many others also stated the ps4 was massively undertracked many times.  "Do you deny?"

This is silly.  We act on what data we have access to

what evidence? you mean your own assumptions? again we had no evidence  and you claimed the 7th week vicotry for xb1 based on your wishful thinking. no evidence what so ever showed that.

i have nothing to do with what "many others" have to say. i said many times i assume PS4 is either undertracked or over tracked btw, and questioning these (VGC)  numbers is completely logical, considering that every time an official statement came out it was wrong.

but lets not change the subject here, back to the UK numbers, you say we act on data we have access to, yet you completly pulled that 7 week win out of thin air, were did you get access to that data?

I'd like to echo bananaking. Furthermore what little evidence we had actually pointed to ps4 winning most weeks in December.  Turned out in was right.  Overall ps4  had a flawless 2014 in the UK.

Yep, it was obvious just by looking at the top 10 or 15 games. PS4 had a lot more there. Also, most multiplats were selling more on PS4 week after week, including CoD.
