Forums - Gaming Discussion - Are Ubisoft gonna be this gens most hated developer/publisher?

Ubisoft the new most hated developer/publisher?

Yes 218 61.58%

No 76 21.47%

Dont care 60 16.95%

Total:354

Depends on whether their games deliver on all the hype or not. One thing is Watch Dogs, which is a new IP, other is AC and FC. They will most likely be liked all around.

they are getting close. I'm Nintendo for exclusives and PC for multi-plat so I am the demographic they are trying to piss off. I still like Ubisoft better then EA from a personal standpoint, but I would be more likely to buy Madden 16 over Assassins creed 2016.

As a Nintendo fan: Yes

For Sony and Nintendo fans, yes.

For everyone else, no.

Why would they be the most hated by Nintendo fans? They don't deserve much praise for their treatment of the WiiU, but at least they're actually putting some games on it. The same can't be said of most 3rd party devs/publishers.

Yes and no. The delays of Rayman Legends and Watch Dogs, and all the crappy ports they have done make me think that there's no difference between Ubisoft publishg games for Wii U and EA not publishing games for Wii U.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Wha ...?

Could you try that again but make sense this time?  You analogy is just silly.  What are you even saying?  XBL and PSN?  Whaaat?

As far as I know, there exists no game where you have to have BOTH XBL and PSN running at the same as you did with Far Cry 3 and Uplay if you bought it off Steam.  Unless you know of any?  I'd love some examples.

Really, think these things through.

your telling me to think things through yet you bought a ubisoft game on steam :/ ok

Current PC build:

Asus Z97I-Plus, i5 4790K @ 4.6ghz, EVGA GTX 980 ACX 2.0 1377/1853/124%, Corsair Vengence Pro 2400mhz 2x 8192mb, Corsair RM850, Corsair H80i, 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD, 750GB Seagate Momentus XT SSHD, 320GB Weston Digital HDD, Corsair 230T, Corsair K50 Raptor, HP XQ500AA mouse, Windows 10 Pro 64bit. iiyama Pro Lite G2773HS 120Hz 1Ms G2G gaming monitor.

They dont give a shit about optimizing games properly.

At least they are still publishing a AAA game on Wii U. No other 3rd party publisher is.

My 8th gen collection

It'll be Nintendo.

On the one side, people like curl will be pissed at them for one reason or another, and then from the other every other console owner (which will be millions) will be pissed at them for having all the good exclusives/games/60FPS/Captain Toad.

Oh, I'm sure EA has more than enough time to surpass Ubisoft in this regard. Not sure they're going to actually do it, but they have a good history of mistreating their customers.

EA is still worse.

The worst thing about Ubisoft is their treatment of PC gamers. Even EA treats PC gamers quite well when you compare them to Ubisoft. Origin does suck, yes. But at least Origin works. Uplay on the other hand, does not. And EA does a much better job with optimization of their PC games.

Ubisoft is quite bad for many reasons. For me, it's very hard to choose between Ubisoft, EA, or Activision as the worst 3rd-party publisher. Because all of them seem equally bad, if for different reasons.
