These features arent really necessary if you ask me, but it's just Sony being Sony.
They watch what everyone else does then implements them later.

True story, I have one heck of a connexion and for unknown reasons, it always seems like a punishment to download something on my Playstation device. I always do it in wired mode, and it always seems like I have two connexion : A strong one for ALL my devices, and a really weak one for everything playstation related.
Edit : Here's my connexion http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3843354893 I doubt it can be stronger, I dwnld a 14go movie in something like 18min and still playstation download takes FOREVER. And by forever I mean almost 5 hours for a 6 giga software... Oo

Yeah, I used to have a 25Mbit connection about a year or so ago, it always took longer to download similar sized files on the PS3. We also had a 360, several PC's, two tablets and two smartphones in the house, all of which provided better speeds during downloads.
I still have the same problem now, despite moving to another country and having ten times the speed (currently sitting on a 250/50Mbit connection. I can download close to 2GB per minute on stable servers on Steam and Origin but downloading firmware or patches that are 100MB or so take up to a minute or two on the PS3.
When i saw the title i thought this was going to be about Driveclub LOL.

I'm a Sony fanboy but I say time and time again that it takes Sony forever to get off their asses and do anything for their consoles. They've been known as a quality company for other products, but too high of a price to even matter. Sony is just really shitty at doing business and making money. They expect everyone to buy overpriced products and take such a long time to adequetly support their products. I'm sure that if another major company like Samsung or Apple were in charge of Sony, then Sony would probably be the leader in the electronics industry. They create great products, but they're really shitty at business. |

I love the products Sony makes, I just really hate how long it takes them sometimes to come through with promises. I rather them go the route they have been taking with their games, if they don't have anything concrete or big to show they just keep quite about it till it is ready. PSTV launch in US/EU.....................not ready without Netflix(how is this even a big problem when Vita had it day one?). Driveclub, a game that was delayed an entire year and left many early adopters holding their junk not working at launch..................unacceptable. PS4 not having a feature they talked about a year ago before anyone else.....then reintroduced at this year's E3 as a "Soon to be coming feature".......yet still beaten to the punch by XBO.........ridiculous.
PSN:Forevercloud (looking for Soul Sacrifice Partners!!!)
Yeah, I wouldn't mind Amazon Video on Vita either.
But on a different note, the XMB menu is kick ass
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
