Because all what it's matter is games
PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

What are their priorities then?
Games? I dont see any.
Online? Way to shitty for it to require a fee.
Vita? Sony does not even know what this is.
TBH Nintendo has kind of an excuse to not have so many games. Because they need to develop for 2 systems. Sony on the other hand....
What exactly is sony doing?

Isn't that a question you should be leveling at Sony? How would I ever know that? What part of 'probably' and 'that's my guess', makes you think I'm privy to concrete answers on these issues?
| kowenicki said: So a feature touted as a launch feature and shown in the reveal is now lower down the priority list. Ok. But in that case they lied and falsley advertised imo. |
Did they specifically say it will be available at launch or did they just say that the PS4 will be able to do this? If not I don't think anyone can do much about it.
And since not enough people care about this feature it will go unpunished. Like so many other things.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

it is but you said thats your guess but how come you guess that? What makes you think that? Guessing does not rule out having some hints (as in having read something somewhere etc.) or knowing more than I do.
Also since I asked about Games Vita and Online there is some things left that could have been your answer.
I mean I dont know much about Sony when it comes to their priorities etc. (and chances are you do know more than I do about that) So in theory "As far as I know Morpheus etc. are their focus" or "well I agree but...." etc could have been your answer.
And why dont you ask the OP why he is not asking Sony all those questions? He also kinda asked you(and all of us)what Sony is doing and yet your reply to him is completely different than the reply to me.
Dont get so "defence mode-ish" just because I "doubted" your reply.

I'm a Sony fanboy but I say time and time again that it takes Sony forever to get off their asses and do anything for their consoles. They've been known as a quality company for other products, but too high of a price to even matter. Sony is just really shitty at doing business and making money. They expect everyone to buy overpriced products and take such a long time to adequetly support their products. I'm sure that if another major company like Samsung or Apple were in charge of Sony, then Sony would probably be the leader in the electronics industry. They create great products, but they're really shitty at business.

How come I guess that? Because they're not available on the machine yet, that's a good indicator. The best of all indicators in fact.
The OP didn't comment on my response, that's probably why there hasn't been further one on one dialogue.
You're more than welcome to doubt anything, the problem is, what I suggested was merely a theory (and worded as such). I have no affiliation with Sony, so anything I'd have to say on the matter, is a guess. Why would you ask a question in a forum filled with people who don't work for Sony, and expect anything more than guesses?

I avoided playing all together because I didn't want to do anything while not being in a club yet. I would check frequently to see if the servers were back up but they wern't for a couple of days. So I was like "fuck it!" and decided to play some single player instead but I kept getting kicked off. You know like how in Destiny it will kick you off of the game and send you back to orbit if something happened to your connection? Yea the same was happening to me in Driveclub as if it was an Online only game or someshit. So I tried again like the next day to see if the servers were back up and they finally were(this was yesterday) so I immediately joined a club and tried a single player race and was able to play. I then tried to play another multiplayer race but it kept saying that I couldn't because something would happen with the connection. Also, the challenges mode was down despite the servers being back up yesterday. As I was playing the single player, I was thinking " where is that weather that I was seeing in those video?" We already had to wait an extra year for the game to release and now that it's here.. we still have to wait for the full game to release in a damn patch. Before I tried Driveclub yesterday I noticed that there was a patch available so I installed it before playing. I dont know if that was supposed to be the weather patch but I just know that I havn't seen it yet in the couple races I've played All in all, this whole Driveclub situation was a complete #Fail! I'd attempt to get my money back then. If the game is having this many problems then you should be able to argue that it's a broken game and you want a refund.
Mass Effect 3 wasn't a broken game yet people were able to get full refunds for the game because of mass stupidity. I think this would be more deserving than Mass Effect 3.

Odd. I have been playing single player since launch and am lvl 49 currently, haven't had any problems with connection loss affecting single player. Just that red banner saying connection lost most of the time. Clubs have been working since last Monday, dynamic face offs in races since Thursday, multiplayer races work if you're patient. I'm not so I play single player mostly. 15 sec loading time vs wait to join lobby, wait for player connections, wait for car selection, wait for race start.
Sadly last night it became less stable again as the weekend started. Club leaderboards disappeared again, single player leaderboards still work but are slow to update. (Club) Challenges are still disabled, the server code is a mess.
Weather was never promised for launch, it's coming in a free content patch with another location, only promiss is before years end. More like a reason to get back to it later than wait for it.
Sadly this online shit is nothing new. Instead of peddling game engines, maybe some robust standardized online engine would help.

You don't see the games? You mean the ones being developed? What are you talking about, exactly? Unless you're saying that Microsoft and Nintendo swarmed the market with games in the first year?
Wait, but you gave Nintendo an excuse. That's kind of odd, though, seeing as Sony supported the PS3 all the way through, while Nintendo abandoned the Wii early, supposedly in order to be ready for the Wii U.
The truth is, you know as well as I (hopefully) that working on unreleased consoles is difficult and the games don't really start to materialize until the second year. After what happened during the Wii U's first year, I can't believe you'd even try to start something like this.
