I'm wondering why there are even people buying at gamestop. God gave us the internet and Amazon and thus he spoketh: "Get your damn games online! I'm not inventing all that crazy new technology shit so that you still use your legs to get your games!"

I like picking up a game after leaving work at 2:30 rather than sitting around waiting for the UPS truck to show up between 5:30-6:30pm.

I also have no issues with the workers at my local stores as they seem like nice people.

Someone asks if you're interested in a console you do not have, just say "No thank you". Seems like NiKKom is right and gamers do hate social interaction outside of the house. That and judging by the way many gamers on the forums act, I wonder if it isn't really the store clerks who are the issue. Maybe they are tired of the whiney customers.

Less socializing means more gaming. I guess people who waste time to walk to and talk to people aren't real gamers :P

BTW I get my games delivered early in the morning or even the day before. Would be nonsensical for me to walk out of the house and wait for stores to open.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Honestly, I've only seen Gamestop a few times in my life and only entered once. I don't know whether Gamestop in general is good or bad, but judging from my experience, their prices are a little too high for my taste. (a little too darn high)

Seriously, they had games, which were titled 'NEW' for 59.99€. Strangely enough those 'new games' were not sealed, which is also fishy. So nope, thank you.

Nice misquote, I said I would rather give my money to the publisher/dev than Gamestop. I would much rather spend 2.50/month for a multiple games service than buy a used game for $29.99-$39.99 that I know I wouldn't want for more than a month or 2 anyways.

Basic point is still there. You hate Gamestop and I was wondering why, or at least I got that vibe from you when I read your response to someone saying a store like Gamestop is good for the industry.

I'll quote and name you next time, if something like this comes across. Sorry for attempting to keep it anonymous. I wasn't looking to outright call out any single user and it more aimed at the common theme of hatred for stores like Gamestop, which dabble in the 2nd hand market.

Also nobody forces you to buy a game second hand from Gamestop. Why not just buy new then and not hate on consumers excercising their right to sell off the property they own to fund newer purchases, which felps fuel new game sales? (Not 100% aimed at you. Just wondering your response to this question.)

Game less, be social > Game more, be a social outcast.

I would LOVE to hear what makes them "different".

I don't know about other people here (Mainly people in the US since it seems everyone else gets these awesome prices), but I always wait until Gamestop drops a great deal on the table before I do my trade-ins. This has funded so many of my PS4 games with me trading in not too many PS3 titles either. If Gamestop doesn't have the deals I like or they don't give enough for my games then I just go to eBay for maximum return and then use the money to buy games from Gamestop so I can rack up points to use for further discounts.

It's all about being patient when it comes to the 2nd hand market. Wait, trade high, use money to buy new games.
