I dont have to see them at all...

Of course you don't have to, but you'd be missing out on some of the greatest movies ever made....

I really doubt I would think so. Not saying they are bad by any means, I just dont care about them.

I dont care about 99% of the hollywood movies coming out either though. More into tv shows like Game Of Thrones, Hannibal, The Walking Dead, Sons Of Anarchy etc...

What kind of movies exactly? Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Porco Rosso, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and The Wind Rises are great movies plain and simple.

Didn't like The Wind Rises very much, thought it was little weak for a final film from Miyazaki, but maybe it'll grow on me when I watch it again sometimes.

My....my heart. Miyazaki has earned a rest, but I hope the studio continues on.

That would be a darn shame if this actually happens. I guess good things can't last forever.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

The Wind Rises is no doubt different from the rest of Miyzaki's films. It's less whimsical, although that is still in there, and much more grounded. I think that it could've been edited a little bit to be somewhat shorter and it was rather slow in places. But the message of it is incredibly profound.

I would be very sad.

Hayao Miyazaki had apparently retired 2 times in the past, but for some reason keeps getting dragged back in.

But yeah as OP said they probably fear a Hayao-less studio, which is a foolish notion.

Noooo...! Don't do it! Ghibli movies aren't just some of the best animated films out there, a few of them rank among some of the greatest films of all time. Would be a huge shame if they closed up shop.

Hmm

That would be very sad. Even without Miyazaki they did great movies like grave of the Fireflies and Whisper of the Heart.

Hmm, I go watching movies now. *picks Nausicaa and Grave of the Fireflies*
