That is some logic.Thing is Chelsea were never really in danger of going out.It was about finishing first or second.

Worst case scenario and oddly enough based on the table yesterday, they could have as they were on 10, Porto on 10 and Kiev on 8. If Chelsea lost and Kiev won. Porto and Kiev would go through.

But all is well and 3 out of the 4 English teams got through. 2 being winners of their groups. No different to the last few seasons when Man City were the ones to go out first.

We just all have to question exactly what Van Gaal is on about.
