After seeing Yusuf Mehdi's laughably stupid comment about why PS4 is ahead, I thought that MS has probably surpassed "two job" Sony in arrogance / stupidity / butthurt-ness.

What do you think?

"Two jobs" / "generation starts when we say so" / "Cell and Blu-ray are the tits" or "why would I live there" / "get an Xbox 360 if you have no internet" / "more people buy PS4s because more people enjoy Xbox 360", "DRM and Kinect are the tits".

It's close, but Sony 2006 still takes it, in my opinion.

Hard to say. I only know that Sony's hubris was way more amusing.

Microsoft openly insulted their fanbase though.
We also have to look at sales from previous gens, so let's. In 2006, Sony was coming down from not only winning the first two gens it was in, but absolutely obliterating that competition. Where Microsoft was arrogant after losing horribly two gens ago, and still getting 3rd place in the previous gen.
So I would break it down like this. Sony was a bit more arrogant, and Microsoft was more rude in these respective times, BUT Microsoft's arrogance was far more unwarranted.

I'd say Nintendo with "everyone wants a gamepad"

Let's just say they were both train wrecks and they both turned me to their competitors at the time.

Considering that MS really had no reason to become arrogant I'd say it's them.

On the one hand I would say Sony's comments are slightly worse. On the other, I would say Sony's arrogance was more 'deserved' coming off the back of PS2 than Microsoft was coming off the back of 360. After all, MS are going to be in last place when the 7th gen is over.

Sony was more arrogant.
Microsoft was more stupid.

I think Sony's actions were worse in general, but Microsoft saw what Sony's arrogance did to them at the beginning of the last generation, as did the same thing anyway. That is just stupid.
