Oooh. This one is interesting. Sony did say stuff like "get a second job" while talking about the price...
Microsoft openly insulted their fanbase though.
We also have to look at sales from previous gens, so let's. In 2006, Sony was coming down from not only winning the first two gens it was in, but absolutely obliterating that competition. Where Microsoft was arrogant after losing horribly two gens ago, and still getting 3rd place in the previous gen.
So I would break it down like this. Sony was a bit more arrogant, and Microsoft was more rude in these respective times, BUT Microsoft's arrogance was far more unwarranted.
