"Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter believes the current Nintendo CEO and president, Satoru Iwata, should be replaced if the company ever hopes to recover from its current financial situation. In fact, the analyst believes Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime would be able to do a much better job.

" 'To be honest with you, and it's not gonna happen, Reggie would be a far better president," Pachter said on the latest episode of Pach-Attack! "I think Reggie is a very consumer-focused, capable executive. Love the guy. They're not gonna hire a western guy to run Nintendo, it's gonna be a Japanese guy. But I think Nintendo just needs different leadership.' "

He once said that he likes playing games. I like games too that's why I now believe everything he says.

Why would Reggie make a better president? NoA has been completely useless the last ten years. It took a massive fan campaign just to get them to port three fucking games over. And by the way, still waiting on Mother 3.

considering what he is doing to nintendo, i would have to say no, he doesnt love him. 

He wants to replace Iwata with Reggie, so no I don't agree with him, bring back Tatsumi Kimishima.

I know Iwata has really screwed up Nintendo's great name over tha past 4 years, but I don't think he should go just yet. If things aren't sorted out by 2015 they need someone else running the place.

Yes because NoA are just allowed to do whatever they want. I'm fairly certain (based on some I think authentic leaks I read like a year ago) that there has been some internal frustration for NoA on the Japanese aspect of the company. I'm fairly certain Reggie would be regionalizing a lot more Japanese games if he could, he would probably be marketing a lot more if he could, and I am 99% certain he would make Nintendo have guns blazing in a real E3 press conference every year. He would also connect a whole lot better in American 3rd party companies and I would imagine would push for a lot better internet features. In fact, I would guess Reggie disagrees with so many upper management decisions that Nintendo has considered firing him but won't because he is just about the ONLY aspect of that company that connects with the West. Nintendo needs Reggie a WHOLE lot more than they need Iwata, regardless of their roles. Reggie could be the best figurehead in gaming if Nintendo promoted him.

Personally, I'm fine with Iwata as the head, however I do wish NoJ would allow NoA to have a lot more freedom than they currently do.
