Forums - Nintendo - Pachter said something I agree with... *gulp*

Pachter is...

RIGHT!!! 73 42.44%

HAIL JAPANESE ELITE OVERLORDS! 42 24.42%

Balmer for Nintendo Prez... 13 7.56%

We need an Australian in ... 14 8.14%

Dulfite, you cray cray ma... 30 17.44%

Total:172

Seriously... an american is supposed to know what a Japanese is like, when he cant even understand a single word of what the guy says?

Iwata is the ONLY CEO to come out and speak to his customers directly through Nintendo direct. I have no recollection of any other CEO with the balls and honesty to do that. He also already proved that he can provide sucesses aswell.

To fire him is the regular american corporate behaviour that leads us into CEO's that dont understand a thing about the games market making decisions and running videogame companies. That is the culture that is the slow cancer in the industry. Pachter is an enabler, what does he know? Like most of those people he only cares about the results posted at the end of the year, no matter at what cost to the long term viability or credibility of the company (look at EA).

So, no. I dont agree with him cause he doesnt care and he doesnt know what is best for Nintendo and its customers.

He once said that he likes playing games. I like games too that's why I now believe everything he says.

That means he hates playing games, though.

Why would Reggie make a better president? NoA has been completely useless the last ten years. It took a massive fan campaign just to get them to port three fucking games over. And by the way, still waiting on Mother 3.

I think he got that estimate from someone else so it should be true.

Nintendo is run by a board of directors, that's why all of them took pay cuts when the 3DS and Wii U underperformed. But since it's usually only Iwata who talks about Nintendo's business, he became the sole scapegoat for a lot of people. If someone believes that Nintendo's leadership has to be replaced, the whole house needs to cleaned, which includes Miyamoto.

Regardless of the above, Reggie would be a terrible replacement. A man who openly asks consumers "What's wrong with you?" when they don't buy Nintendo products is in no way the right guy for the job.

while i openly admit to scaegoating iwata before, i have said many times that nintendo needs new blood and that even miyamoto needs to go. so i agree with this strongly.

Iwata must leave with Miyamoto. Yes, I'm serious. Is time to clean up the house

If you meant "replace Miyamoto and his busted wisdom with Masahiro Sakurai", then I'd take you seriously.

But this is just ridiculous.

When Voogle buys Nintendo, it won't really matter whose in charge will it?

fucking voogle.

Okay quite a bit of BS going on in this thread.

First off Pachter is just as valid of a resource as VGChartz is. They both state their opinions of the gaming industry. VGChartz states its opinion on sales numbers, Pachter states his business opinion on game businesses and the decisions they make. Opinions will never be 100% accurate and if you are using vgchartz and are bashing Michael Pachter then slap yourself in the head you hypocrite. They are opinions made from the perspective of what would make shareholders the most money the fastest...

Next someone said that Reggie did a bad job in NoA... I would hardly say that Reggie has had that much control over the situation seeing as how Nintendo has been telling Reggie how to run NoA from Japan. He can hardly be blamed if Japanese games haven't sold well in America. If you want their games to keep coming over here then you need to buy them when they do.
