So they can win the 8th generation. See, Nintendo lacked the business sense to release their new system right before the others so that the could claim the 8th gen win. Sony however, should be able to see this. By winning 8th gen Sony can then brag they won 3 generations of gaming and that means they know what gamers want. They can use this to convince gamers to buy the Ps5. Then right before MS and Nintendo launches their new systems they can launch the Ps6 and claim they were the market leader for 4 generations.

See I thought about that. But whats the best way of being profitable? Giving fans what they want. What do gaming fans want the most? To win each new generation. Thus Sony becomes profitable.

Maybe, M$ crea create the XBOX 2 with something innovative and price of 300€ on launch that will sell more, or Nintendo create the Wii2 and rediscover the casual, and for this sold more...

MS will call all future consoles "Xbox" until all of them combined outsold the PS2 to claim 6th generation victory.
