The first year of all the previous generations were not much better than the first year of the 8th generation.

this was mentioned in my original post. I was still much more excited for those systems.

People always mention that the gen is new but that doesn't stop it from sucking. In fact, I'm sure that when we look back we'll all be talking about how much it sucked at the beginning.

Check the link below. (note to Admins: it's not really porn please don't ban me!)

Did you forget Sony's press conference at E3 last year? I can't remember the last time the gaming community was that excited.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I mean I wasn't there so maybe that would have been more exciting but honestly no, I have not seen or heard of anything exciting from Sony.

Nobody told you guys to buy the new systems so soon...just saying.

If I bought the Wii U at launch, I would've said it had a terrible start as well. I didn't get mine until a few months back so I'll be fine. I got a few games to play until MK8 and then some eshop games and such.

Eventually, I might get the PS4 or XBO but not until I see enough upcoming reasons to.

Say what you will but Infamous is the most fun game i've played in ages.

I got one of the best fighting game in the market. Killer Instinct.
One of the best FPS in years. Titanfall.
I got the best sports game this year. Fifa 14.
I got an outstanding platformer. Max: the curse of brotherhood.

What's there to nag about?

For example, Xbox One after E3, is going to have a full year of big releases. Sunset O., Quantum Break, Halo Aniv, Halo 5, Forza Horizon 2, tons of indies and third party games to grace these consoles ( 8th Gen) more than any other ones in the past.

Agreed, because there's nothing fresh and exciting like the Wii this time, it's just the same games with shinier graphics.

And the worst gen is the 6th; Nintendo at their worst, and the rise of the insipid "hardcorez" blockbuster.

Imo, 7th gen lacked the most excitement, since it was the gen of shooters and only shooters.

If anything, 8th gen looks like it might right that.

Maybe the PS4 sales would give you an idea about how excited people are for this gen.
