(((Note* Still updating lots of info)))

WELCOME SSB FANS! This thread i made a huge list of hidden things from the direct, including unnoticeable changes like New Moves, Hidden Gems, Etc.... So I hope you can enjoy and take it upon yourselves to look up things i listed! (Took awhile to do o.O)

(Yes its trivia and there will be more info as well in the second post)

IMPORTANT⇒ This is the video of the SSB Direct: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xUWnQu2Grs

Every thing shown below with a time listed will appear in the trailer, Ex: [12:15] says ........ Then look up the trailer at that time and see it in motion!

Well Lets Begin

⇒Did you know that every time a person dies, the character that finished them will be surrounded by a color light from now on? [1:59] has Samus glowing Red and [15:44] has the character glowing Blue. My guess is wat character (player 1, player 2, etc) does it corresponds with a specific color

★ Stages

~Balloon Fight (3DS) [4:48] This stage is unique as their is a huge gimmick not seen before in any SSB stage before. Looking at the video you can see a character can run from one end of the screen and instead of dying reappears on the opposite side!!! Look at Peach+Samus do this at [4:48]!

~ Gerudo Valley (3DS) [4:14] Bridge is broken from Atks. Also small platforms exist on both sides for safety before falling in the pit. (Also some weird ice platform on the right inside the waterfall)

*Not Confirmed but it appears Ice will be a hazard on the right side of the stage while fire on the left (from the witches in OoT)

~Arena Ferox has at least 4 different playable set ups including a basic floor like Final Destination

Many many changes has happened with Bowser! Including hisnew stance and faster movements. Check it out!

[2:03] Bowsers New Forward Air

[2:05] New Up Smash (Does a Triwl while jumping) *might just be animation thats new

[5:03] Bowser has a new "A Combo". He jabs twice now!

[6:43] New Up Air (or Neutral Air)  is a new atk thatmakes his body spin aand has a Huge range of a hitbox! O.o

[6:59] Bowser's Down Air shoots very very FAST now!!!!

Next up Princess Peach!

[2:01] and [2:46] Her Side Special is MUCH FASTER in activating! (previously small lag)

~Below pic shows cosmetic change to her Up Smash

Aside from cosmetic appearance and obvious moveset upgrade, she gets a new Forward Smash Atk [22:35]. She now does a kick followed up but a far kick!

Charizard Has Some great changes!

Mega Charizard X will most likely be a Final Smash

[38:35] New Forward Air

[38:37] New Side Special (im guessing its flare blitz)

Unknown move for his B down as pokemon trainer doesn't exist!

Many of his moves stay the same but look to have added some tweeks into them!

[23:13] Yoshi's back air now hits very hard at the end of the atk (knockback is now there)

[23:19] Down Air now pushes back opponents when its finished!

[32:20] New Dash Atk!!!!!

[35:09] FINALLY has his Roll Atk (new dash atk)

[8:18] DK Up Special is exactly the same airborne.... BUT is slightly different when used on the ground. On the ground he's angled while swinging!

[22:36] Link now dodges with a backflip like in OoT and has a new dash atk

[28:05] Villagers Loid Rocket (Side Special) can be rode on if used in the air. While on ground Villager just shoots it

[28:21] Not sure but to me it looks like the wooden parts shoot out like a projectile (must see)

There's actually quite a number of changes to Yoshi than they make us think.

Sakurai made it clear that Yoshi stands up right now. I think it is a great change.

There is also an animation change for the first two attacks (the jabs). And again, the cutting through the air stuff makes it look really nice.

Rainbows!

Yoshi's eggs now has a trail of rainbows. Pretty obvious, and I think it is a cool change.

Changes to Yoshi's Back Air (GIF is slowed down to 0.5x speed during the attack)

So the change is that instead of 4 tail swipes, Yoshi now does 3. In exchange for that, the 3rd seems to be much stronger and has more knockback. I think that is a good change.

Changes to Yoshi's Down Air

This one is the hardest to notice and made me make GIFs from Brawl lol. First let's look at Brawl Yoshi's Down Air. This is a GIF of it in 1/4th speed in-game.

The numbers represent how I counted the animation. Every time Yoshi's feet are aligned during the flutter animation, it counts as 1 cycle. I put the start of the flutter kick as a cycle as well just to note that it does damage.

There are 7 cycles, however, only the first 5 seem to do damage while the last two are just there for animation purposes I guess. Which is shown in the next GIF (at 1/4th speed in-game).

You'll see the last two cycles (the second one is really small, but since it is a part of the animation, I included it as a cycle) don't do any damage.

Now let's see what how Smash 4 does it (and I'll post the Brawl one side by side, but it really isn't comparable). GIF is at 0.25x speed and obviously not in-game.

So there are only 5 cycles. The ending animation is just the legs and arms going back to normal. Not sure exactly when Yoshi can do something else. Although the GIFs aren't really in a comparable state, it can be said that the Flutter Kick is better now that the junk animation is gone.

And that is not it for Yoshi's Down Air changes. There is one more change.

In Brawl, if the opponent is on the ground and Yoshi uses its flutter kick, it did not cause the opponent to have horizontal knockback like it does at the end there. Mario gets knocked back to the right by a bit at the end.

My guess is that they changed it so that the splits that Yoshi does when landing while doing the flutter kick will cause damage and has horizontal knockback. In Brawl it did not do this and was merely a landing animation.

Further proof is the fact that I tried to mimic what happened in Smash 4 by making the first 2 cycles miss and let the next 3 cycles hit the other character, but the max number of hits that I could do was only 7 where as the Smash 4 one has 8 hits (you can tell by the red flash that appears).

NOW, the Down Air is done. That was more of an explanation than I thought I would need to explain my thought process lol.

As someone who started liking playing as Yoshi in Project M, I think all of these changes are for the better.

My hype level is ridiculously high. Nice compilation, tbone.

I hope the mario cat suit will be in the game. Will definitely change recovering and platformimg as it did for 3D World!

I think it'll be easy to dodge, it acts just like the warpstar in previous games!
