Reviewers comparing inFAMOUS to GTA V now. 2 year project with 100 people Vs. 5 year project with 300+ people.

WTF?

Do you really think that development time and the workforce of the developer should be something that comes into play for reviews?  If GTAV is the apex of open world gaming then that's what inFamous should be compared to assuming that's the type of game it's trying to be.  Unfortunately I don't think the inFaous games are ever going to have the kind of variety that GTA does because that's not their main focus, but if doing the same missions again and again gets boring then that should be taken into account.

Btw. I just saw this on Gaf, I'm not gonna say that reviewers were basically only able to review half the game (unless they had access to this) but looks like the day 1 patch adds a good bit of content.

Good scores anyway.

Every week their will be missions added so they could not review it...

Seems to be pretty much what was expected...the varying scores seem to be mostly due to different scoring systems and some "millage may vary" stuff.

I just want to spare us from having 10 different threads saying it is a flop. I'm doing us all a favor here.

It sells for the same price doesn't it? It's still a stupid comparison, but because they are different games, not because anything else.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Meh, not quite a flop, I expected about 85, I think it was 82 when I checked a few minutes ago

Basically, I really like inFamous and 2 didn't get that great reviews either and I loved it. I just don't seem to be able to get enough of these open world platformers (AC etc), so I think I'm going to love the game anyway

Meta right now is 82, I was expecting 80 so its above my expectations, ppl dont give super high scores for games with no multiplayer thats the cold hard truth, but 82 is anexcelent score.

@Bold: And that is likely what is wrong with game journalism.  It's absolute BS to take off points for there not being MP.   This is exactly the reason why I don't listen to many if any reviewers, because they honestly don't give a shit.  They just want to make their money(their salary, not implying MS or Sony paying reviewers).   Gone are the days of people who "want" to really review games and give them an honest score. :-p

Anyway anything above an 80 is awesome considering the game journalist that we have.   Plus I already know the game will be absolutely amazing and am getting up early to go grab my copy!!

Clearly, it wasn't taken into account for GTA V. Because you know, games journalism.
