How do we know sony is taking a loss at $400? That isn't the case when the gaming division made half a billion last fiscal report??

Anyhow.. well.. they would sell more consoles for sure.. I mean why would people want to buy an HD console with a tablet that only works with the wii u.. and it is barely more capable than last gen's HD consoles.. when you can get a console almost 8 times more powerful....in the ps4..

Nintendo would lose even more money, I guess

Nah, even if the WiiU had the best hardware, then fanboys will still say stupid stuff about how Nintendo Games, they would say things such as "WiiU doesn't need that much power because of their childish looking games..." anyway you see it, Nintendo is doomed to them.

Gaming on:

PC:
Asus Z87-A  |  i7 4770K  |  MSI Radeon RX 480 Gaming X 8GB
G. Skill Ripjaws X Series 32 GB DDR3 2133 mhz  |  WD Blue 1TB SSD & WD Blue HDD 1TB

Consoles:
WiiU
Switch (Docked)
PS 3 / 4

Handhelds:
New 3ds XL
Switch (Portable Mode ;P )

No. Why? Its Nintendo which is the best company out of the 3 but third parties wont develop games for it because they know it wont sell. As for the code being the same it wasnt Nintys fault that the Wii U doesn't have the same code as PS and XB. It has the same code as PS3 and XB360 but not XB1 and PS4. Sony and MS changed code not Nintendo. Third parties don't develop as much for Ninty consoles because they know that they would have to compete with Nintendo and its games. A true Nintendo fan plays Nintendo games. The N64 was powerful and so was the GC but where did that get them? I think that is why they took a step back from power and leaned forward to innovation. It is not Nintendo who turned their back on third parties. Third parties turned their back on Nintendo. It is not Nintendo who turned their back on gamers. It is gamers who turned their back on Nintendo.

Nothing will change regardless of what a few people think

Nintendo needs the soccer moms back.

If it cost $300 in 2012, and seeing as Nintendo can't afford to lose as much per console as Sony, your so-called "Titan" would likely be closer to the Wii U in terms of power than the One, much less the PS4. A "vanila" Nintendo console released in 2012 for $300 would likely be a Quad or Hexa-Core with 4GB of RAM; the PS4 is an Octa-Core with 8 GB of RAM.

Do you think the Wii U would suddenly fare much better if it had half as much power as the competition? Even after the GameCube was generally more powerful than the PS2 while often being cheaper? Even though most games of the 6th generation didn't exceed the size of a GameCube disc?

Major 3rd party developers and/or publishers don't like making games for Nintendo consoles. Who to blame is irrelevant; a bit of extra horsepower wouldn't change that.

Love and tolerate.

If it was x86 and was easy to port multiplats so most developers would do it, instead of the Wii U which is powerpc so its a pain in the ass for developers to port, it would get a lot more multiplats and I think it could come in second if Nintendo did everything right, but I doubt it could come in first.

Nintendo didnt change codes. It was Sony and MS. The ps360 are powerpc but the XB1 and PS4 arent. If Nintendo did everything right it could come in first. Do you know what is right for Nintendo to do? Acquire third parties and make them First Parties. Nintendo has the money to buy Tqke Two interactive whick make the 2k games. They have the money to buy Ubisoft. They have money to buy Sega and Capcom. If they just buy Take Two and Ubi then they will make money and cause 50% of people who do not have a Wii U to buy a Wii U for Nba 2k AC WWE 2k and later entries to Watch Dogs. If this were to happen Nintendo would make millions and even billions if dollars in the long run.

Same Ninty at the helm same games as U same wait....

Similar, it probably kick X1s ass though.

Power isn't the key. The Gamecube was more powerful than PS2. Power is important, but it's only a part of the problem. It would need to be as powerful, have a mature, stylish design. It would have to have an equivalent online infrastructure. It would have to market the machine to the hardcore, grown male demograph. It wuold have to have DVD and Blu-Ray playback. Nintendo would have to court third parties and indies and make sure they were taken care of and they'd have to make sure that the controller was STANDARD.

If they did all that, I'm convinced they'd dominant.
