Nah, gameplay mechanics were just bad. And the platforming was just so painfully horrible. But the gameplay in 2 was so much smoother.

Each to their own, I love inFamous, though I can see the game had issues and 2 was a vast improvement
Anyway, with these pre-order numbers, 2-3m possible LTD WW?
I think Sony would be very happy with that

Well, their name is not Square Enix so I think they are going to be pretty happy with Second Son sales.

They did correct a lot of the issues in the second one, but I thought the first one was a good starting point for a new IP. I certainly found it entertaining, and I definitely enjoyed the story of the first one more than the sequel. I hope that SuckerPunch can continue to expand and push the limits of the series. It looks like a lot of people are ready to jump into this series for the first time so SP definitely needs to knock it out of the park.
Predicting that Second Son (PS4) will outsell Titanfall (XOne) in lifetime sales. Click here for sales comparison thread.

Destiny is releasing 9th of Sep. they announced the release date last year.
Preorders are one thing, but at retail Titanfall looks like its going to be the far bigger game than Infamous.

Well it should be. CoD like FPS with mass praise from the media. Backed by a publisher as big as EA and although it hinders sales being exclusive it will definitely mean more promotion.

No idea, I'd like to say Infamous 2 was drowned out by bigger games, but really it wasn't, the biggest thing that released close to it was L.A. Noire, well I'm happy this Infamous is getting more attention. |
Advertising? Sony advertising for everything except Uncharted and GoW kind of sucked. Now with new console tons of press for Infamous SS.
