Why is Galaxy winning over Galaxy 2? I'm confused.

Because Galaxy 1 is an awesome game and Galaxy 2 is overrated!

Because Galaxy 2 has no chance of winning in this poll. The Last of Us must be stopped, you hear me.

Make a thread and ask which game Nintendo fans prefer between Galaxy 1 and Galaxy 2 and you'll see the majority voting for Galaxy 2 :D

I thought this would be a more unpredictable poll, but it's turned into a Nintendo v Sony pissing contest.

This is a difficult question, because there isn't really a single game in the past generation that unequivocally outshines the rest. What we did have in the past generation are several games that effectively pushed the medium in different directions.

Games like Portal, Bioshock, or The Last of Us attempted to push the barrier for storytelling in video gaming. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and The Witcher 2 succeeded in making game franchises more personal through innovation of the save import. Street Fighter IV helped revitalize the fighting game genre, leading to a massive increase in tournament participation, particularly for events like Evolution. Read Dead Redemption successfully melded narrative with an open sandbox world, while The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim provided accessible open RPG content to the masses. Games like Braid, Journey, and Flower carried the torch left by games like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and Okami that prove that games can have artistic value. Finally, games like Super Mario Galaxy, Demon's Souls/Dark Souls, or Minecraft introduced new ways to play games, as well as reminding us of traditional game play elements that may have been forgotten in recent years. I'm certain that I'm missing several other noteworthy games as well.

It's probably easy for people to pick their favorite game on their preferred console, but I personally think there are several games of the generation, rather than just a single one that leads the pack.

Yeah, that's the feeling I'm getting right now. 28 for Galaxy 1 and 1 for Galaxy 2. Lol, that can't be what people think.

Just look at Uncharted 2, it is barely getting anything either. This is basic console BS war. Sad, because galaxy would have been my choice, but guess I will go with Tales of Vesperia.

My reasoning for it being Game of The Generation is it got me Sony-Nintendo guy, to purchase Xbox360 and actually enjoy that console for 3 years.
