Who where those people that where more impressed by the visuals of GT 6 than next gen racers'? Come on man, we all know that there is a technical difference between those machine that no amount of engine optimization can overcome right now, so even if GT 6 is the best looking racer on current gen, it will not look as good as a racer on XB1 or PS4, simple as that. |
That would probably be me, kinda.
I was more impressed by GT6 when taking into account the hardware. Considering the hardware, Forza 5 and Drive Club should be doing more IMO whilst GT6 is as close to next-gen for a racer as you're likely to see on current gen hardware. It was visually very impressive when you take the aged hardware into account (youtube compression doesn't do it justice).

Not just you... the talk in the forums is that GT6 is more impressive than Forza or DriveClub.
For example both next-gen consoles have a lot of aliasing (seems like no AA at all) while GT6 not... just a example.
Are you blind ethomaz? this looks like old dick compared to driveclub and forza
Not all that surprising honestly, this is PD we're talking about, GT4 even today could probably pass for a current gen title to someone who didn't know any better.
My only concern is how many portions of the game will retain 60FPS, and how consistently at that considering GT5 at launch somehow managed to work it's way backwards from GT5 Prologue. Youtube compression isn't really reliable for making rational judgement on that.

That's a fair point, but still even if GT is a technically more impressive feat it still won't look better than Forza or Driveclub... #truthfact :D

Exactly, it looks good but nowhere near next gen racers ( car models and the rest). But nevertheless it looks impressive for current gen.

The game is really nice looking. Noticeably above GT5. I am willing to bet that there will be some early games on the PS4 and XBone that will not look much better than this.. same as some crappy games on the PS3 and X360 looked like PS2 or xbox games.
So from that rather lame point of view maybe he has a point.
It certainly looks awesome. But nowhere near as good as Driveclub and Forza 5.
