There's a reason he says he's a huge fan.

No they will not.

-The PS4 has better indie support
-Xbox fans don't like indie games
-WiiU fans all have high end PC's, where even more indies are.

So no gamer in his right mind would buy a WiiU for indie games.

No one claimed that people would buy Wii U ONLY for indie games. However, the notion is that it would certaily help sweeten the deal and make the console more attractive.

And no offense, but what indidcations have you had that PS4 "has better indie support"? At the very least, they're on par. And quite frankly, I've seen and continue to see many games announced as only coming to Steam and Wii U, or similar configurations like that. Week after week, almost, it seems as if I hear about another Kickstarter fund for some indie game that adds Wii U as a stretch goal (many of which are met), and things like that. Not nearly so much for PS4, I'm afraid.

Point being, there are many indie games I've seen announced that are coming to Wii U, but not PS4 or Xbone. Thus, as the thread points out, Wii U is getting some really great indie support.

Its only derogatory in the minds of shallow people, if a guy loves ferraris, owns one and talks about it all the time, do you think he would be offended if people called him a ferrari fanboy? not likely.

People get overly sensitive way too easilly.

There's a major difference between being a "huge fan" of someting, and being a "fanboy".

The word "fanboy" is a negative connotation, and it typically is used to imply that someone takes their fanhood of something to an annoying/absurd level.

You mean like his past few threads, for example?

Oh you're serious.

Here's a serious answer.

A fan is someone that is a fan of something. Great definition, I know.

A fanboy is someone who not only is a fan of A, but dislikes A's competition. Hence all the fanboys on this forum that seem to dislike everything the opposing company does.

So with your example a Ferrari fan just loves Ferrari, while a Ferrari fanboy loves Ferrari and wants Noble to crash and burn.

Nintendo is getting lots of indie support because it is very easy and very cheap for the developer. They have some great practices in play that really cater to what indies need.

Sony has some similar practices and just as much love for indies, but they are less known since the PS4 is newer.
