Oh you're serious.
Here's a serious answer.
A fan is someone that is a fan of something. Great definition, I know.
A fanboy is someone who not only is a fan of A, but dislikes A's competition. Hence all the fanboys on this forum that seem to dislike everything the opposing company does.
So with your example a Ferrari fan just loves Ferrari, while a Ferrari fanboy loves Ferrari and wants Noble to crash and burn.

And no offense, but what indidcations have you had that PS4 "has better indie support"? At the very least, they're on par. And quite frankly, I've seen and continue to see many games announced as only coming to Steam and Wii U, or similar configurations like that. Week after week, almost, it seems as if I hear about another Kickstarter fund for some indie game that adds Wii U as a stretch goal (many of which are met), and things like that. Not nearly so much for PS4, I'm afraid. |
Nintendo is getting lots of indie support because it is very easy and very cheap for the developer. They have some great practices in play that really cater to what indies need.
Sony has some similar practices and just as much love for indies, but they are less known since the PS4 is newer.
