Learn what the hypocratic oath is...

I am not ashamed to admit I have no idea what a hypocratic oath is.

I suspect no one does.

EA - Nintendo relationship has always been VERY tense since SNES days. I clearly remember N64 days when we didnt get FIFA 2000 LOL. NO ONE CARED WE WERE PLAYING PERFECT DARKMAJORAS MASK DONKEYKONGWORLDDRIVER THANK YOU

But i kind of hate them after all the money theyve made on Wii...thats really ungrateful from EAs part.

WiiU situation is N64 all over again, which in my book is awesome.

There is no such thing in the gaming industry as gartefullness... it either goes bad or good. Look at how fast publishers jumped away from the PS3 when that was in trouble. The question is: will Nintendo be able to turn it around? releasing Pikmin ina  couple of months is not even a start. Lets hope that this wont make their other majoir releases feel rushed.

I think its a bit naive to think that bussinesmen are not guided by personal feelings i know it by first hand, its all talk and friendship

True. But do you honestly think that EA would not support the WiiU if it was selling like warm bread? Or if some of their games would have sold in some respectable manner ( lets say 200-300k)?

The Nintendo fans on these forums are blatantly hypocritical. Both companies made promises that they failed to keep. Electronic Arts insinuated a support that it didn't deliver. Nintendo insinuated a support that it didn't deliver. How many times has Nintendo told the third party support lie now. You know it actually takes more then lip service to make that into a reality. They would actually have to design their hardware to fill the needs of developers. Do a competent job of marketing their product. Create a solid service with solid features that gamers genuinely want.

What about the Nintendo conspiracy. You know the one where they sabotage their console to drive away third party development. So they can have the console all to themselves. So they can pretend to be a console brand. When what they really are is a software studio. I mean really should we assume they are actually this fucking stupid, or that they have nefarious motives. The same mistake four times in a row is a bit hard to swallow.

The point being that Nintendo fans don't really have a problem with this behavior. After all they back Nintendo up when it is them pulling this shit. Their problem is that the lack of Electronic Arts support is going to have some dire consequences for their console god. They know losing this support is a major blow. Gaming staples aren't optional. They are damn well mandatory. Sporting games are the definition of a staple. The vast majority of games will take notice of their absence, and not purchase the console.

Why is this bannable and considered as "Spreading filth" (Yet filled with stuff that can be proven) meanwhile we have thread after thread derailed and filled with ridiculous conspiracy theories based on absolutely nothing that can be proven and better yet it is continually done by the same guy who banned Dodece for this post?

I guess if you don't believe in conspiracy theories and decide to apply your thoughts towards a different possibility it is better to keep your mouth shut.

I said before. The people backing EA in this know exactly who they are and exactly what they're doing.

An admission of honesty from them would also be refreshing. "I want to see Nintendo fail and will rationalize third parties' efforts to that end."

Simple, to the point, and we won't have these endless threads that go nowhere fighting all these people with their "rational business" claims.

Go ahead. Tell me what exactly am I doing? Shouldn't be too tough since you're already here trying to make us look like shit for not agreeing with a conspiracy claim with no facts to back it up.

You tell Dodece that he has been spreading filth in threads. Well, what do you call this post you just wrote?

Is this really worse than claiming that anyone on EA's side hates Nintendo and wants them to fail?

I don't understand the ban really.

I should clarify that the ban is not that actual post, but that Dodece's been running this same line for like two weeks straight. Fair to say we're all quite sick of it.

I also said that some of you are good posters believing in some unfortunate misconceptions. Most of them, however, are the "know what they're doing" people.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

A shame but outside of Mass Effect, Madden and FIFA, it isn't a massive loss. EA has sort of soiled all their other franchises of note beyond redemption for a few years.

Not to mention, EA is so shady if Nintendo pulls a miracle and starts to sell well enough again, they will be compelled to try. So meh, classic EA and aside from spreading rumors about the Wii U not being able to handle stuff available on current generation platforms it is probably better then what they did on the Wii where they dropped subpar PS2 level software and whined about it not selling.

EA dropped the SEGA Dreamcast like a bad habit.............

Electronic Arts was one of the notable developers that did not publish games for the Dreamcast. Although EA had long supported Sega's earlier consoles, and this partnership has been attributed to EA's emergence as one of the dominant players, it had suffered losses from the Sega Saturn and its premature discontinuation.

During negotiations, EA was irked by Sega's indecision over hardware, including which graphics chipset and whether to include a modem. One EA executive said "there was a push from Sega, which was having cash flow problems, and they couldn't afford to give us [EA] the same kind of license that EA has had over the last five years. So EA basically said, 'You can't succeed without us.' And Sega said, 'Sure we can. We're Sega.'

There was disagreement between Sega and EA over sports games. EA knew that hardware manufacturers were at risk when launching a new console, and would use such situations to EA's advantage. EA's then-president Larry Probst (a close friend of Sega's Stolar) noted wide competition to EA's sports franchises and wanted five year exclusive rights for EA to be the only sports brand on Dreamcast. However Sega America's president Bernie Stolar had a strategic plan that included Visual Concepts (a company that Sega purchased for $10 million) as a key element for the Dreamcast, and Stolar believed that Visual Concept's upcoming NFL title would be superior to EA's Madden NFL series. Sega offered to lower the royalty rates that EA would pay for publishing its titles on the Dreamcast but Probst would not budge on the exclusivity deal.

And now they have completely abandoned Nintendo.

SCREW YOU EA.......... arrogant tossers.

So then do us all a favor and prove how we are believing in some unfortunate misconceptions.

Prove to us how your conspiracy claim is truth. You come into these threads all the time and have been doing so for weeks and have yet to prove how yours is anything more than a "unfortunate misconception".

You can't just claim our views and thoughts are wrong simply because you don't like them. They hold much more water than a claim of butt hurt execs hating Nintendo and trying to destroy them.
