My main gaming rig PC is in my signature.

My secondary LAN rig/Spare parts for main rig is:
CPU: AMD FX 8120 @ 4.2ghz - stock volts.
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
Ram: 16Gb DDR3 1600mhz Ripjaws.
GPU: 2x Radeon 6950's unlocked into 6970's.
Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FX UD7
Case: Coolermaster HAF X.
PSU: Corsair HX 850
Drives: 1x BD Burner, 2x 2tb Caviar Green, 1x OCZ Vertex 2 64Gb SSD.
Monitors: 3x 1080P Asus TN panels in eyefinity. (5760x1080.)
(Going to drop my old Corsair H100 into it soon. Whenever I can be bothered.)

HTPC:
CPU: AMD Phenom 2 x6 1090T @ 2ghz with 1.15 volts. (Underclocked! Woo! Have hit 4.2ghz on it.)
CPU Cooler: Scythe Shuriken low profile cooler.
Ram: 16Gb DDR3 1600mhz Ripjaws.
GPU: 1x Radeon 5850
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M
Case: Silverstone SG02B-F Micro-ATX
PSU: Corsair HX 620
Drives: 1x BD Burner, 1x 64Gb OCZ Vertex 2 SSD, 4x 3tb USB 3.0 External Hard Drives.
Monitors: 60" LED LCD TV.

Portable PC is: Gigabyte T1005 Dual-Core Intel Atom Convertible Netbook/tablet, 2Gb of Ram, Intel Decelerator graphics, installed a Broadcom Crystal HD chip that I got off ebay for 20 bucks so I could watch HD video and youtube.

All my systems have Windows 7 64bit, except the Convertible Netbook/Tablet which is running Windows 8 Pro 32bit, which probably won't last much longer on that system.

Why do you have 16 gig in your HTPC?

Left overs, might aswell put it some use! I upgrade yearly and I replaced the Ram in my FX rig awhile ago to Ram sticks with heatsinks that match the colour scheme of the system.
So, rather than throwing it away, I threw it in the HTPC.

To think though, that Phenom 2 x6 1090T CPU cost me $400 AUD on launch.
Today for around the same price you can get the Core i7 3930K. Moores law truly is a wonderfull thing!

Ah, ok. So they are of no real use then ;) For an HTPC nowadays any current Intel with HD graphics would be sufficient ;)

Any estimate on how much money you spent for these systems? Your secondary system alone must have cost you at least $1200, monitors not even included...I'm jealous...

My pc is 4 year old with recently upgraded gpu and ssd:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650ti OC 1GB
5GB RAM
400GB Samsung HDD + 500GB Seagate HDD + 64GB Crucial V4 SSD
750W OCZ PSU

The new Tomb Raider runs with 40+ FPS on high settings, too bad it's a shite game..
Max Payne 3 runs great almost on ultra settings.

My Etsy store

My Ebay store

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Intel Core i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz (stock)
8Gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7870 2Gb
240Gb SSD
1 x 750Gb HDD & 1x 200Gb HDD (leftovers from old PC)
650W PSU
Windows 7

Thinking of building a HTPC next, probably after AMD release their next round of APUs and run Ubuntu instead of Windows.

Around the Network

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4 GHz ... it goes a bit higher, but I don't like the voltages it needs to get there

CPU-Cooler: Scythe Mugen 3

MB: Asus P8Z68-V

RAM: 4 x 4 GB Corsair Vengeance LP (1600 MHz)

GPU: Asus HD7950-DC2T-3GD5-V2 @ 1000/1500 MHz

PSU: be quiet!, Dark Power Pro 10, 850W

SC: Asus Xonar Essence STX

System-Drive: Crucial m4 64 GB

Storage-Drives: 2 x Samsung HD103UJ (1 TB) @ Raid0 & 1 x Samsung HD753LJ (750 GB)

Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (PB) ... fans: be quiet! SilentWings 2

Monitor: Dell U2713HM

I like my Rig right now - it does what I want it to do and it runs cool and quiet. The only thing I might change in the near future are my storage drives - those are pretty slow by today's standard and are probably the loudest component @ idle.

The rig I currently have is on my signature:

CPU: i5-750 @ 3.00 GHz (I didn't want to fiddle with the voltages)

Mobo: Gigabyte P55A-UD4

RAM: 16GB (4x4GB) Kingston 1600 MHz

GPU: Sapphire HD 5850 @ stock speed

HDD: 1x1TB Samsung F3 + 1x2TB WD Caviar Green

Optical: LG Blu Ray reader

Case: Antec P183 (I like it being quiet)

PSU: Antec CP-850W (overkill, I know, but it was part of an offer with the case so it was a no-brainer)

But this summer or by Xmas I hope to be buying a new rig (basically mobo, CPU, GPU and an SSD) because my motherboard is failing

Edit: I forgot my monitor. It's a Dell U2311, 23", 1920x1080 and IPS.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I wish upgrading wasn't so expensive... That said, so far everything I've wanted to try has been fine so I'm fine with this until I can get better.

  • Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
  • Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 512 MB
  • 4 GB PC2-6400 (4 x 1 GB)
  • Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB + external Western Digital 1 TB HDD (no memory of the exact model)
  • Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6
  • BenQ E2220HD 21.5"

Not much else to it, really. The rest is pretty much some random junk and not worth mentioning (like the barely working DVD drive). Well, I could mention that for sound I have a cheap Logitech 2.1 system as well as a Sennheiser PC 151 headset, which I've been very happy with. Not doing much with the microphone, though, it mostly hangs in there just in case... Oh, and I guess I should mention Windows 7 (64-bit).

Also, I'm afraid my terribly outdated processor may be dying. That, or it has some overheating problems. Not sure which but either way, I need a new one ASAP.

I bought a prebuilt 2-3 years ago. I know i know. Should have just built it but it was cheap. Around $550 CDN. I than upgraded the video card and power supply. I game on 23" 1080p monitor. Same one i use for ps3.

Intel Core i3 530 @ 2.9GHz (stock) - Might overclock this.
6GB Ram
Nvidia 9800 GTX+
1 TB hard drive
650W PSU - Upgraded from stock 250-300W generic one it came with.
Windows 7

Was thinking of picking up 7870 because of some great deals and be able to play games on high and ultra. Not sure if my motherboard will support it or if i'll run into bottleneck by my cpu. Googled around and it was not that big of bottleneck if any. Still not sure about it.

Feel free to comment.

I have a laptop.

I prefer them vastly over a desktop since I don't want any extra furniture cluttering up my home. I also enjoy being able to take it outside, lounge in my chair under the gazebo with it on my lap and a controller in my hands.

Specs are in my sig.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!
