Nintendo is a family-first brand (not saying that's their entire demographic, but it's a central focus for them).

Most of these third party games you guys are asking for are aimed at 13-35 year old male players. The Xbox and Playstation brands are built and specifically tailored to this audience.

They have 140 million PS3s/360s out there versus maybe 3 million Wii Us.

Historically developers don't like to support 3 console platforms at once. 1-2 is ideal, a third always generally gets treated like a third wheel (Turbo Grafx 16 versus the SNES/Genesis, GameCube to the PS2/XBox, Saturn to the PSX/N64 in the West, etc.).

Third person action games don't sell that great on Nintendo platforms.

Take your pick.

Historically the Castlevania franchise has appeared mostly on Nintendo plattforms and why release the prequel on the 3DS of this title does not get released on the Wii U?

The same reason why there's no Vita version.

Userbase size.

Well why did they release it for the DS, when the games sold poorly, although I can admit that I don't know if they thought it was a success or not.

Obviously because Nintendo didn't go with Konami online network.

:)

Why would anyone spend money to bring a game to a system with a userbase of maybe 4 million by the time this game comes out? Especially when many of those customers are already buying MarioU and NintendoLand. And especially when the game is a sequel to a game that I don't think sold particularily well. If was a 3rd party I wouldn't look at WiiU until fall 2013 unless I had a franchise like COD, AC or Batman. Or something the WiiU audience will really wants like Monster Hunter or Scribblenaughts. Games sold to WiiU owners probably could have been sold to them on their 360 or PS3, so most sales are cannibal sales. This is why the WiiU early launch was important. When the other next gen launch, there may be financial motivation for 3rd parties to put games on Wii U... at least if it's a game good enough to compete with Nintendo's games.

The 3DS is a whole different animal. A user base pushing 30 million and over 80% market share of the handheld space. If you want to sell a game on handheld, it's the only system you need to put your game on.

PC version it is then.

Wii U/PC will cover my bases quite well for this upcoming generation. Maybe a little Durango on the side. ^_~

To get moar Wii U/PC games! Wheeee! *slides down rainbow into a wheelbarrow full of puppies*

It would arrive six months behind the other versions, have a lower frame-rate, terrible GamePad integration (if any), and it wouldn't sell. We've been through this. No thanks.

Konami really has no idea what it's doing. Hasn't for a while. If it weren't for Kojima and Yu-Gi-Oh, they'd be in the rubbish bin of history by now.

To expose yet more third party ineptitude.
