Of these choices? Ted, not the movie I expected it to be. Of 2012? DKR, I liked the 1st two movies a lot better. Just my opinion on these things.

What about the second?

The 2nd two movies would imply that their has been released 4 movies from DK series. But DKR alone vs the 1st two as said 1st two movies win.

Whoops, I only read "I liked the 1st movie a lot better". Was exhausted at the time. Sorries!

No problem man, thought you were attacking my grammar or something lol.

Hi my name is Wander and i approve pezus's message, The Avengers is so boring and overrated.

and that is the truth of the matter...

good movie for spiderman level, nothing more...

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

I thought it was pretty good actually. I've given it an 8 on IMDb.

The annoying part I find about 'The Avengers" movie is that... The premise is the same as dozens upon dozens of other movies.
That is... Alien invasion of New York. - Do the Americans have any other cities even?

Avengers was great fun. I would say it's over-rated as I don't think it deserves its RT score. As far as box office goes you know there's a US skew in the theatre gross when the USA box office is more than 40% of the worldwide gross. The vast majority of $900 million + global movies have the US contribution below 40% and in some cases in the low 30s (Avatar was only 27% from US - so rather skewed the other way). With Avengers US box office is 41%, so somewhat skewed to US audience, but still with very wide appeal everywhere.

I think it hit theatres at a time when there was a global appetite for a bombastic popcorn flick. If it had released a year earlier or later I don't think it would have done as well. I thought $1 billion was gettable for the movie but I never imagined it would be the only movie so far to pass $1.5 billion not made by James Cameron.

Over-hyped sure, but not as in a rubbish movie getting way more than it deserved. More like a good movie made to appear great.

Avengers was the best movie I saw this year, so no, it was not overrated.

The Avengers was a good popcorn movie that didn't try to be much more than that ... People who wanted more were probably disappointed, while those who wanted that were probably very pleased.

Prometheus was just garbage ...

Prometheus was one of the deepest Sci-fi epics I had seen since 2001: ASO. Its not garbage, its just a hard movie, and you need a special level of itelligence to actually grasp the importance of things that where shown, and the promisses that where made, in case a trilogy is actually made.

OT: yeah, TA was terrible. It was a collection of cringe worthy jokes and mediocre special effects. But sheep like those

So, if it is such an intelligent movie, why do they use flame-throwers in a low oxygen/high carbon dioxide environment?

It was a poorly written, poorly acted, and poorly directed movie that was full of scientific flaws and plot holes.

Thats like saying that Godards Alphaville is a bad movie. Are you watching movies for artistic values, or are you simply one of those Start Trek nerds, that likes bashing movies, and calling out the scientific facts? I think we have come a looong way, and we should let directors artistic freedom.

You obviously didnt get the message of the movie, but its OK, Il forgive you, there has to be people who guarantee movies like Avatar a 2.7 billion box office, and congrats for being one of them

Lol. You know how an android would act? So the cinematography and one actor made this movie a must rent for you? No. Sorry. Every role in The Avengers was worth seeing. The action is what summer blockbuster's are all about. Story better than all transformers movies. Win win! Lol. imdb and other sites are just full of Internet trills. Incredible word of mouth for this and other movies is why they broke a billion. Not because of lame critic and User reviews and not because it was over rated.

I haven't seen Prometheus, so I can't really say which one's better, but I'd probably find Fassbender picking his nose more entertaining than The Avengers.

Knawll it deserved more praise.
