Heheh... it's my 6th favorite game of all time.

As much as I love the game, my first true gaming love is the Platforming genre. With games like Sonic 2, Mario World, Sonic & Knuckles, and the Mario Galaxy games out there... they're just too amazing for Ocarina of Time to overcome.

I haven't completed it yet, I don't think I'm anywhere near. It's a good game, I wouldn't consider it great or anything though. What holds it back for me is how repetitive and bland it feels. The world is small and lacks detail, you spend the entire game running between areas doing fetch quests or clearing dungeons and the story, characters and lore felt extremely weak to me.

Playing it on 3DS does make you compare it to more recent games, because blocky graphics remind you that it's a game of older times. So having good graphics on it, maybe makes you compare it to recent Zelda entries.

I haven't played OoT for ten years but recently bought the 3DS version and started playing it again. I've been having a great time, and it makes me appreciate how much more expansive the world got (sans SS) with the next entries. And it amazes me how an old game like OoT still had a crap ton of stuff to do. Like I completely forgot about the poe quest. And the biggoron sword quest. And I appreciate the shorter dungeons...

Ocarina has the best dungeons and the best music, which is why I like it the most. Having said that, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that all of the more recent Zelda games have better side-quests, better overworld layouts, and better character design. Music and dungeons trump the other things, so therefore OoT is still my favorite Zelda.

If you played OoT when it came out, you'd have it #1 always.
Honestly, anyone that says otherwise has rendered their opinion on video games obsolete.

The zelda noises, and that goes for all recent zelda games.

I know this is probably just me, but I get so annoyed when I walk up to somebody to talk to them and they make some inarticulate grunt in my direction, followed by a wall of text. Just put some freaking voice acting in nintendo!

Because Wind Waker is better.

Still the greatest highest reviewed game? If so there s nothing people can change.
