Playing it on 3DS does make you compare it to more recent games, because blocky graphics remind you that it's a game of older times. So having good graphics on it, maybe makes you compare it to recent Zelda entries.
I haven't played OoT for ten years but recently bought the 3DS version and started playing it again. I've been having a great time, and it makes me appreciate how much more expansive the world got (sans SS) with the next entries. And it amazes me how an old game like OoT still had a crap ton of stuff to do. Like I completely forgot about the poe quest. And the biggoron sword quest. And I appreciate the shorter dungeons...
