I dont think its because of the mods personally. I think most of the mod team here does a great job.

I think it has more to do with the major flaiming that used to go on in the MS forums. Its a lot better now but there was a time where any topic made would be instantly bombarded with certain Sony fans trashing the place. Not all Sony fans keep in mind but a very vocal group.

Who are you to decide whether something's funny or not? Your sense of humour is vastly different to the majority of vgchartz users, as can be seen by you moderating me for that thread.

That thread was horrible. Boring, baiting, unfunny thread looking to get a rise out of a certain fanbase.

This is extremely silly. Look at the reasons for moderation, rather than just the user. The mod team is doing a fine job when compared to the days of Maxwell and dunno.

Aaaaaaaand finally - I feel the reason is simply that there are less "geeks" on the Xbox. There isnt really any history for the brand with classic games. It doesnt have the "classic" Final Fantasy. Metal Gear. Res Evil. Dragon Quest.

I see the Xbox fanbase as a growing beast. Give it time. Let the history grow. Let the dedicated fanbase grow. Remember, the 2 Xbox consoles combined are yet to outsell the original PlayStation. Xbox is yet to be the dominant force. When the time comes for Xbox, then we will see a major rise in fanbases.

I know what's funny to me, and that thread was. Also, judging by some of the comments in the thread and on my wall, alot of other users did too.

Oh yeah, and pezus is the one who turned it into an uncharted vs. gears thread... He shouldn't be able to get away with his constant (sometimes subtle) attempts to rile up fanbases, not to mention his spamming.

I always thought that MS fans were few on the internet because most gamers today grew up with Nintendo and/or Sony (some with Sega as well). Just a theory of course, can't prove it in any way.

I still think the main reason why you have less Xbox fans on here has more to do with the demographics of Xbox owners than it is the big mean Sony fans and moderators.

Some people just always have to play the victim...

and a bit of advice, if you don't want to get banned by the moderators all the time maybe you shouldn't pick fights with them or make up consperacy theories about them.

There used to be a significantly larger percentage of 360 users on this forum, trolling and unfair moderation did have it's place in reducing the numbers.  I'm not saying it's the only reason but it has been a big contributing factor.  The other factor of course rarely mentioned is some 360 users were so vocal when the 360 was leading that when the tide turned and the PS3 started catching up (and looking like it will overtake) they abandoned ship to not hear the crow calling. 

The current moderation team are completely different to what we had previously, for a start they can admit when they make a mistake which rarely happened in the past.  The moderation team expect they'll be criticized, it's part of the job to be thick skinned as it's a thankless task.  Of course while we can make some generalizations on historic moderation, any complaints on the current moderation team should take place in their performance thread or via pm.

It would be nice to get a warning though before a ban, i just got banned for a day which was requested by kowenichi and moderated by kantor, for pointing out that microsoft fans are not as holy as they think they are.

Now i've been on this site for more than 5 years and just became more active, in posting that is. If this is how moderation works, then i'de have to conclude that it still has some ways before you can say that everyone gets treated equally no matter what their game/console preferences are.
