IT was a 16 bit computer the successor to the commodore 64 ,very popular in Europe especially the UK , also it was used by all the big US TV networks and made the graphics in babylon 5 , basically Commodore wanted a successor to the C64 and these guys in California had developed what they thought would be chips for a gaming machine but it was instead turned into a computer with its own custom chips for sound  and graphics , it could also multitask , when Bill Gates said at the time you needed a $10,000  computer to natively multitask it was pointed out that the Amiga did it for a fraction of the cost , best to google the rest  I've gone on to long.

The Playstation had Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy VII, Suikoden I & II, and Gran Turismo. Incredible, amazing games. Honestly, it pushes the PS2 for me as favorite system ever.

This is a really hard question to answer for me. They both had great games, both had a lot of shovelware, and both did a lot to change the industry. While the Wii has more games that I thought were "great", the PS had more after that in the "good" range, and nothing on the Wii can compare with Castlevania: SOTN.

I say a draw, EDIT: unless you factor in the VC, then the Wii wins pretty easily for me.

PS1, my favourite console of all time.

I owned a PS2 for such a short time I wasn't able to play many games from that generation. So I say the PS1 beats the Ps2 for me. But I've gotten so much use out of my Ps3 since I actually can buy lots of games having a job and all it's other features that I use I say thats the best system ever... now if I were 20 when the Ps1 and I was able to buy all the games I wanted it might be a different story
