"Strange time to make a topic about the 3DS version of Animal Crossing, isn't it Radish?", I hear you ask as you click on my topic.

Well, I recently started playing Let's Go to The City again, and it's made me remember how awesome Animal Crossing is- and that's only the single player mode. I've never actually had anyone visit my town before in Animal Crossing, and the thought of the 3DS version allowing me to visit a whole range of people on my friends list immediately really excites me :)

So I guess this thread can be used to discuss the 3DS version of Animal Crossing; how you think it will turn out and whether you're going to buy it, or just about the Animal Crossing franchise in general, and what you think of it. Of course, feel free to use this as a standard hype thread- I'm going to post images of the game here to get you all excited :D

PS: Is it called "Animal Crossing: Jump Out"? If so, I'll change the title of the thread- I just wasn't sure.

I'm totally hyped for it. My girlfriend played Animal Crossing on Gamecube but neither of us got around to buy the DS version (why? I have no idea). I always wanted to give the series a try. Looking forward to the game! And I damn sure hope this will make my girlfriend purchase a 3DS haha It's the perfect game for a handheld.

I remember my stepson buying Animal Crossing for his GC. Since you could have 4 players, he convince myself and his mom to play with him. Within a few weeks he was bored of it and never played again (he was 12 and did not like reading), but the wife and I were hooked on trying to collect all the stuff, meet all the visitors, experience all the events, etc. We continued to play for a just over a year. When the DS version came out, we both played it for about 4 months, at which point I stopped, but my wife kept on playing with friends online which really maintained her interest.
IF the 3DS version has expanded the game play and the experience, I would be very tempted to pick it up on day one. IF it is the same basic game with 3D effects, I will probably pass.

I will never buy another Animal Crossing as long as I live. The first one for GameCube and the DS version were quite enough, thank you. I have a strict policy nowadays of only playing actual game.

It doesn't officially have a subtitle in NA, but probably.
