Shouldn't you be more concerend with no running if your town is going to be full of flowers?  I made a nice path in my AC City Folk town which I lined with flowers.  I would rather collect a bunch of user made Nintendo designs to paste on the ground for my town (which is always called Nintendo).  Only problem with that was in City Folk visitors could pull up your tiles (which doesn't make sense why they would let that happen).  I had so many custom designs that I stored all of them on the 4 town residents considering 1 characters designs wasn't enough.  So if someone pulled a tile then I might have to load another character later just so I can put the design down again.
