Forums - Nintendo - "The casuals have moved on from the Wii" - Not true at all

I often hear it said these days that the casual audience the Wii attracted has long since abandoned the console to play games on phones, tablets, and facebook.

But if this is the case, how is it that games like Zumba Fitness 1 and 2, Wii Party, and Wii Fit Plus still regularly make the worldwide top 50 despite having been out for between 6 months and over two years? And how is it that Just Dance 3 has sold nearly 9 million units on Wii in the past 7 months?

Because those are pretty much the only games released for the Wii over the past year besides SS, and SS is not a casual game, so it's either Just Dance 3 or bust for 95% of current Wii owners lol.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

*Checks 2012's sales so far*

*Sees 3 casual Wii games in the top 10*

Well damn.

Of course not, I see them posting here in the forums everday.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

That's the thing though, the way people talk, 95% of Wii owners have a dusty Wii in a closet somewhere that they never touch anymore. Yet still almost 10% of the entire userbase bought JD3 already...

That's mostly just Patcher saying that. Don't listen to him, he's an idiot.

Because while we are hear debating games on the Internet, the real game players are turning out their white boxes of joy. Think about it.

One reason for Internet hate for the Wii is that the Wii does not care what the Internet thinks.

its not so much that they left, they havent they just dont purchase as many different types of software as some of the other gaming devices on the market. Yes Just Dance 3, Zumba and the Marios sell consistently , but thats ALL that seems to sell. And they have huge spikes during the holidays. THen it levels off again. The same is true for PS360 but to a lesser extent. I know one or two people that just plat COD and maybe one other game and thats it. but since those two have such a regular release of all kinds of games its much harder to see.

They're gone until the next "new thing" hits the market.
