I don't know if its worth the wait yet. EBGames never called to say my copy is in. I will go in around 1 this afternoon and pick it up if its in. I won't be able to tell you I enjoy it till likely this eve. Need at least two hours hands on before I could say I like it. The game play sounds impressive but the lack of visuals is disturbing to me. The trailers made the visuals look inferior to other Wii JRPG's it looked more like a beautiful game by PS2 standards. While graphics don't make the game they do definitely help, bad visuals or visuals that aren't very impressive put far more pressure on the game play to be stunning and I am not as confident I will find it as stunning as many others have. I'm not as huge of an RPG guy as I used to be. We'll have to wait and see if this game can truly impress me!

I noticed that if possible they don't call anymore. My gamestop sends me a SMS message, which I just checked and I had a message from them saying to come in a pick it up this morning.

Have you got the game yet then?

Nope I'm in the central time zone, they don't open for another 2 hours.

Ugh. Time zones. It's 2:15 here! Easy to get confused...

I have two copies reserved and a friend of mine is going to pick it up for me tomorrow. THEN the wait will start because he has to send it to me as I don't live in US

Ouch! At least it's not as bad as someone I know who has the game, but not the Wii >.<

Glad to hear I'm not the only one in that boat. I need to find me a used Wii soon cause I'm picking up my copy today

As many have said, they're easy enough to get on the cheap nowadays.

I'd also suggest TLS, Skyward Sword, Monster Hunter Tri if you like this.

I have Tales of the Abyss for PS2, bought it a couple years back after finally getting into the Tales series with Vesperia. Unfortunately though my PS3 60GB crapped out before I could ever really get into it.

Will probably pick it up when I get a 3DS. Knowing the Tales series though I would probably be better off buying the game now and not waiting until that eventual 3DS purchase.

I see. It's because I have been playing through Abyss 3D and enjoying it greatly, and I also enjoyed Symphonia. I'm gonna get Graces F when it releases over here, but I wanted to see how it stacked up (I here than Abyss is the best one, though).

Can't speak for Abyss but all I know is that it would have to be truly exceptional to have me put it above Vesperia. Yuri is a vigilante and what I like more is that he doesn't care about getting any form of recognition for what he does. His good deeds often become praised as someone elses accomplishments. He just does what he wants because he wants to do. He does nothing for fame or glory. Plus he isn't your run of the mill happy or emo character. He seems so... normal?

His style of justice is totally unmatched in the Tales series from what I hear.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

The wait...

I have to wait until JULY to go to the U.S.A and get a copy, and then stay there for a month with the game and no Wii.

Now that's a painful wait.

Give me your address and I will give you mine and you can purchase it, send it to me and then I will send it to you. Simple. Even my archnemesis deserves to have this game as soon as possible! :P

You sir, are a gentlemen and a scholar.

The only reason I will buy this Wii is because of TLS and Xenoblade. I'm not looking for any other games, although I might rent a few for the wii, now that I got gamefly.

I picked up my copy but it will probably be like 8 hours before I even get a chance to play it >.
At least I got an artbook :D

So, I called my gamestop yesterday and they said Xenoblade would be in today. Turns out it's Good Friday and they're not even open. Kinda crap is that. Guess I can wait one more day xD.
