I can't blame Nintendo, only the third party. Nintendo has released many many great or good games for Wii. They have done their part easily.

They are now lauching two new consoles who are important for their future, this is completely logic that the Wii is left out by them. Nobody will make tthe 3DS and the WiiU succeed except them.

This year for the Wii was still a better year than every single year for the GameCube, and all but maybe 2 years of the N64.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I'm going to say that 1/10 isn't too far from the truth - maybe I'd give it a 2/10. Besides for Kirby and Zelda, there was nothing. What an abysmal year it was when you think about it.

I only bought one retail Wii game in 2011, so I can see where this is coming from. What I would say is that 2011 is massively overrated as a whole, given that my one game jumps up to a massive three games when I include everything else.

Actually, pretty good point. I think gamers have become jaded by the HD platforms. Which get Triple A games every month.

For all past consoles I recall maybe a few noteworthy titles a year. Wii isn't much different and pales in comparison to the HD twins.

No.  Until its last year, the Gamecube had great 3rd party support.  Square and Rockstar  treated them like crap but there was always something compelling to play.  Metal Gear, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, Metroid Prime WWE Day of Reckoning, Mortal Kombat, Residente Evil and Resident Evil Zero, True Crime, Beach Spikers. Soul Calibur, SNK vs. Capcom--and don't get me started on Nintendo's games.

No, compared to the Wii, the Gamecube's library is the PS2's library compared to the Xbox.  I'm a game buying fanatic and I probably had more Gamecube games--great Gamecube games--in one year than I have Wii games in five years.  I will say that the N64 had shitty support through its entire life, though.

This year Nintendo were to busy prepare 3DS launch, show off the WiiU, launch Zelda, fix 3DS problem, launch 2 Mario titles, and forget about Wii Core gamer ....

Well..Why do people still buy it?
