Forums - Gaming Discussion - *Why is Silent Hill Downpour PS3/360 exclusive?*

Silent Hill was never a franchise that sold a lot but Silent Hill Shattered Memories has now sold 390K copies and according to VGC is tied for the best selling single system Silent Hill in history. It is tied with Silent Hill Homecoming for the 360 but S.M is likely to reach 400K and it probably costs Konami less money to make as its non HD.

I know why most publishers don't like to release many "Core" games on the Wii because they tend not to sell well but Shattered Memories is/will become there best selling S.H game yet...

If a Wii version was made I bet it would sell better than the PS3 and 360 version.

I would bet that you are wrong. That is all.

if they are making the game already for xbox 360/ps3, they can essentially port the game to one or another without that much work.  The wii is different, it would actually take a lot more effort because they'd have to retool a lot of the game to work with the less powerful hardware, and add motion control.

Basically the same reason why most ps3/360 games aren't on the wii.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories sold much more than 390k, check out the PS2 and PSP versions.

Also, Shattered Memories isn't the best selling SH game by a longshot.

Why didn't they just make it Wii exclusive again? Also, could make it PS3/Wii exclusive with Move and Motion Plus support.

Now they are just being dumb LOL...before the games didn't sell but now what is there excuse? The Wii one made the most profit and sold the best.

Oh, that changes everything!

Seriously, Silent Hill 1 and 2 sold way more than 390k, do some research.

And I bet it would not. The quality of the series has gone down the drain, there's no reason for people to buying these games any longer.

Goddamn double post, why is the site so laggy today? Avatars won't load at all and everything is super slow!

Production probably started months before Shattered Memories was released, and i think Konami expected it to fail
