Damn you Nomura, stop milking Kingdom Heart's and finish Versus. Actually, I bet one of those projects are VII related...

it's actually square enix.

nomura it's their last talent they have-

from what i heard birth by sleep it's great, crisis core was great, and it looks like agito shaping up to be good.

Actually Kitase (Director of FF6/7/8) & Ito (Director of FF6/9) are far better than Nomura.

Indeed... and don't forget Toriyama.

E3 just got a bit more boring.

Toriyama is great too but I wouldn't say with absolute certainty that he's better than Nomura while for Kitase/Ito I am confident in saying that.

I hope Kitase decides to direct a FF again!

my hype meter for E3 just sunk alittle

I've been calling it for quite a while. It was far more logical to be showcased in TGS than in E3. They'll cater to their fanbase first, which has more of an impact on TGS than E3.

Let's just hope to see how far along development the game really is, when they finally showcase it. I'm hoping to see some gameplay at least.

I agree it is & he co-directed FFX too of course (And good ol Kitase produced em). Yeah I guess he can be up there

But the only reason I was hesitant was because I see directing more from a plot perspective and for me Kitase directed FF's have had my favourite plot's in FF. Toriyama directed ones have excelled more in battle systems/world/characters/lore (which actually end up making like them more but I don't know how many of those things he's responsible for)

So thats the only reason why I'm uncertain of placing Toriyama on that level even though I do think of him highly.

I respect Yuji Abe a lot too, he's terrific at making battle systems.

Q: Final Fantasy Versus XIII is your current primary project. How is it coming along?

A: Developement is progressing smoothly, but starting with E3 and through winter, there are a number of titles I am involved in that will be announced. And of course, the company as a whole has many upcoming projects, so we'll take it one step at a time. We do have plans to officially showcase the title at a certain point.

---

Nooooooooooooooooo....I guess TGS it is :/

Do you even have a PS3 Soriku?

Lore is a must in every RPG IMO. Lore plays an enormous part in me liking FFX. Nomura's games.. how should I say it.. don't excel in story, lore, or anything... to say the least.

Anyway, Kitase's pretty good - even in if the story in FF VIII borders on terrible. The battle system and world in that game are brilliant, but the story and main characters are... butchered.

Damn, they are so slow. They need to focus on a few games at a time not a truckload of them.

No Nomura doesn't excel in story or characters from KH1 anyway. Need to still play KH2 as dtewi says its much better than KH1, so does Soriku but we'll see.

And I agree about Lore I LOVE FF13's lore the most, fascinated by the mythos behind the worlds. Hopefully Versus XIII can expand the mythos in some way. FF10's was great too.....I want more stories on cocoon/pulse/spira for sure.

I actually liked the plot of FF8 A LOT, yes it had its fair share of plot holes, but it kept me gripped from start to finish, didn't seem like it had lots of "filler" stuff either because they camouflaged it well or there really wasn't any and introduced interesting twists now and again.  The characters were butchered I agree and that romance felt fake.

@Slimebeast

THIS game is one of the reasons why soriku will buy a PS3, the other big reason being Kingdom Hearts 3.

Laguna should've been the protagonist of that game... seriously.

And yeah, KH1 is a piece of shit IMO - KH2 is better in every single way imaginable. Much, much, better.
