Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo's 2019 looks pretty impressive already

-Daemon X Machina

-Yoshi's Crafted World

-Fire Emblem: Three Houses

-Luigi's Mansion 3

-Animal Crossing

-Pokémon Gen 8

-Bayonetta 3

-Metroid Prime 4 (2020 maybe?)

That's a lot of first-party content to look forward to already imo. What do you think?

Bayonetta is 2019, Metroid Prime would say it's 2020. That said, 2019 seems like a great year! From the list you put, I'm interested in all but Animal Crossing!

That new Game Freak game also looks pretty interesting. When was the last time they made something else than Pokémon?

I'm also really interested in this game.

For your question:

2017 on Windows

2016 on 3DS

2015 on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows

So... it is about time, they missed 2018.

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

On that Gamefreak game it gives us a good look at them when they begin to utilise the hardware and can be a teasing glimpse on how Pokemon G8 may look.

Also seem to be getting 18 Final Fantasy games next year.lol

That part of the Direct was crazy. They just kept coming.

Oh yes, next year will be so great that my wallet dies.

Just to make a small observation: Animal Crossing is very likely a Summer game, not a Winter game, simply because of its social nature. While Nintendo would want to people to pay the online to have acess to the game online features, because lets face it, the game will double down on it, but part of the game appeal is to go out and meet people playing the game and play together.
That hasn't stopped Nintendo from releasing Animal Crossing games during the holidays before. I mean it's not like everyone who's gonna buy the game will do so on release day so that idea holds little weight. That they didn't show gameplay makes me think it's a late year release, but we'll see of course!

That was so great. And it means something. If Square wants to optimize the sales of these games, they are announced each on their own, so they can build their own hype. But announced such a load of titles is a reassurance, that Switch will be supported with FF. So that the fans can go to Switch. Square wants to shape the userbase. And that means, they want to sell more JRPGs on Switch in the future. That was very reassuring.

Now they should get on with DQ XI.

Yup, today's Direct pretty much confirmed 2019 will be much better than this year. Though, I personally don't believe Prime 4 is coming out next year, as much as i'd like it to.

I personally don't think Bayonetta 3 will make it next year either.

I agree. They both seem too far off at the moment. Maybe 2020 at the earliest.
